5000 people cramped inside a cargo ship, no water or sanitary, most die.

I dont know if its possible to do in game mechanics. But.. slaves should perashible in cargo ships. And stay alive in slaver liners (well thats the reason the slaver liner exists, isnt it? to make sure slaves reaches their destination)

And if I was taking slaves in pirate transport. I always took food, water, oxygen and other things. Heh:)Helps to push the slaves down from the good list then scanning and.. a bit of rp

I think some people already are pissed about that commodity, that would only make situation worse.

but what if you trade slaves in a lux liner and RP them as VIP's i know house military (that see the RP) will let you go and the slaves not being cramped up believe they are headed to a new place.. they will not die due to harsh conditions:)

make em perishable if there aint no water or food on board (lot of coding if it could be done )
would make more sense

yea like 2 water and 1 food, and 3 oxy per 1000

Uh... as macabre as this sounds... it does make sense... many a slave died in the old slaver sail ships.

Give the Slave Liner a special scanner? In a silmilar vein to the Battleship Licence. Call it "Slavers Tech", same stats as an Advanced Cargo Scanner. Comes as the standard with the Slave Liner. When its mounted Slaves in the cargo hold dont Perish.

Have Slaver Tech available for sale at the base's Item Vendor as well, so If somone wants to transport slaves in somthing other than the Slave Liner they can do but it will cost them.

It could also, in RP be considered as seeing some of the tell tale signs of Slaver Activitys when somone scans you. Like retraints being found and such. It would have the same sort of RP effect as scanning somone with Pirate Guns on thier ship.

Well, they might not have food and water, but I'm sure they get plenty of other things:P

But really, it depends on how long it would take to get from one place to another. If it takes as long as it does in-game...

Im sure they can survive:P
