igiss terms apply in any way! - make sure you read them.
secondly - in order to make it a little easier for you and the dev team. - you can Email the files to the following Email address:
sjarja@yahoo.com
i can then place them in a thread on the developers board ( uploading them there ) - instead of having igiss mailbox becoming too full.
what will be done with the files?
- firstly, i ll check for any obvious bugs like strangely applied hardpoints, mesh errors, skin errors or incompatibilities. ( that does not mean that i ll do your job there - if its something minor, i ll fix it, if its a major problem, i ll PM you and you ll have to fix it )
- secondly, we ll review the model to meet the quality standards. - when its not put in, you get a reply about why it cannot be included at that time / in that state. - that can include a low model quality as well as an unfitting design or simply cause its not needed at that time for the mod.
- thirdly, we will test the model and balance it.
what YOU need to provide is:
- a .cmp file ( or a .3db file that is compatible with freelancer )
- a .mat file ( or a .3db file that is compatible with freelancer )
- a . sur file ( if you haven t got a custom hitbox for it, i ll resize an existing one, which WILL not fit perfectly well! - but might be sufficient )*
- a shiparch.ini ( not necessarily needed )*
- a goods.ini ( not necessarily needed )*
- a cockpit.ini ( not necessarily needed )*
- an icon .3db ( if you wish it to have its custom icon - if not, we might attach a similar vanilla icon to it )*
- a brief description of the ship concept*
- a brief description of the ships balance ( turrets, turret orientation, stats in general etc. )*
- a brief description how its embedded into freelancer discovery ( faction, faction restrictions, intended role of the ship [ like explorer, warship, defense, scout etc. ] )*
* = if you don t provide those informations / files, it ll be made up by the dev team.
in any case, you will stay the "creator of the ship/model" - but its really necessary to submit rather bugfree and finished products.
edit: keep in mind, the higher the quality of the submission, the less work we have in the dev team, the more time we can dedicate to balance / add other features. - replaces are always apreciated, submissions of new ships have it harder. - if you submit a special ship for yourself ... make SURE that you got green lights from the mod creator first and please post the Email correspondence with igiss about it, too. ( saves us time, cause we d have to get feedback there in any way ) .... i do not think that we will include special ships that were not explicitly agreed on.
uploading to my Email only applies for the next update or until i remove that option. its just temporary, so we can start "sorting" submissions and stuff.
yes, there s no reason we don t. - the model is fully finished and tested. ( same applies to the BHG BC and basicly the corvo ... and a few other ships )
