Today I was on my LSF character with three others and we fought three Unioners in Texas. It was a pretty even fight, they took down one of ours, we got one of theirs. The fight lasted a good 20 minutes and then some Junker came in and secretly began feeding the two remaining Unioners bots/bats. We saw him on our scanners and thought he was just watching, but when we saw the Unioners constantly getting full health and shields, we knew something was up. However, I had to leave and the other two fled because of the constant feeding of the bots and bats, which dragged the fight on for about an hour. When I came back, the last person left was back in NY and told me he had fled and that the Junker had been feeding the bots and bats.

Now, if some ship randomly comes up in a fight, says nothing at all, and starts secretly feeding bots and bats to the enemy, who at the time was already close to dying (literally one shot away from death), would that be sanctionable or just unfair and bad form? If a ship who was already in a fight began transfering the bots/bats to another ship in the same fight, that's fine, but a ship just cruising in and giving out bots/bats doesn't seem right to me.

Note: Not a trial-by-forum (no names given, just factions), I just want to clarify if this is sanctionable or bad form because this got me and the rest of the guys I was with really ticked off.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

I'd say that was just bad form. Maybe the Unioner employed him to supply over PM? Junkers are known for dirty deals like that.

Pretty sure this isnt sanctionable, but it IS bad form. Also, as soon as the Junker fed someone, he was involved. Give a notice and pulverise him. He is supporting the enemy.

He counts as in the fight, as far as I'm aware. So just drop a few bullets on his invariably stupid ship and get those nanobots for yourself!

yeah, I'd say he "engaged". He got involved in the fight without a notice which -technically- is/should be against the rules. But don't quote me on that.

He was employed by me. He got a nice amount of cash for aiding Unioners. Second please do not make threads like this (although you have every right to do so) every time something not regular but according to rules happen. You were ganking my Roc as you had every right to do so and i say good fight to you all, but you had three or four guardians on my tail. You should have been able to kill me even though i was evading before we made our little arrangement. So no it is not against the rules, some may call it a "bad form" i consider it a part of a game. Besides if this is not a trial by forum why did you post this? :D You wanted to find out if it was sanctionable and then what? Report? :D Do not let the game tick you off. Enjoy it.

Once a ship supplies bats and bots it is part of the fight.

Its bad form yes, just attack the bot giver and take away their bat/bot farm.

I like the Idea of resupplying, but from random people its just stupid

EDIT: It isnt Trial-by-Forum until names are given.:rtfm:

If the Unioners were paying the Junker, that's a good deal. Considering the numbers were so skewed, I'd consider that an equalizer.

I don't really think it is bad form necessarily...but I do think it should be made clear to all involved that it is happening. Much the same way you have to give an engagement notice.

I've secretly given b/bs before and felt dirty about it. Now, if I ever do it, I make an announcement and start dodging the pew pew

You say we had plenty of time to kill you? Actually, if someone dodges well enough (which you did, nice) they can avoid death by a whole fleet for hours. This happens countless times in weekly events like BHG vs. Order and also Corsairs vs. Outcasts (back when that was still active).

Also, it's not really ganking either because in many fights, people ask for a target and the leader gives one, meaning the whole or majority of the fleet will focus their attacks on one ship, even fighters. Ganking is really when it's something like one whole fleet against a few ships. However, a few ships vs. a few ships or a whole fleet vs. a whole fleet isn't really ganking.

As for getting ticked off, yes, it's just a game, but seeing something being done unfairly against you will make anyone mad. It's kind of like bad sportsmanship.

Four Liberty fighters against 2 Unioner fighters and 1 bomber isn't really that "skewed." Also, if they were paying the Junker, then that's fine, but the Junker should have the decency to say "Hey guys, need supplies?" Otherwise, with no notice, we could just think he's watching (which happens countless times as well) and have no idea what's happening.

Feeding bots/bats with a notice that you're doing it is fine I guess, but secretly doing it is a big no-no in my opinion. :nono:
