What thinks you lot of useing this model ive made to replace the whale?
I made it kinda on the thought that there needs be tankers in the freelancer universe (like for h-fuel and such)
O and where do i need to send the fineshed models? and do i just send them as a .cmp and .mat files or is there something else i needs to send?
And one more question this might have an effect on how many models i make for disco.
How atached to all the non vanila ships are you lot, it seems to me most of em got added along the lines of hey wouldnt it be cool if we could fly so and so ship, some of the added ships have a valid place in the freelancer universe ( if not the model than the ship itself). that goes for a lot of things in the mod i spose, as per my absense ive not taken a break, just have been reluctant to show my work, to commit it to disco, since the 4 iteration of my corsair dreadnought model ive made 5 ships models, and a turret model ( to be used as a long range cannon, take a peek at my other post about capital ship combat)
If you lot are willing to wipe the slate clean and start over i might be able to get a considerable number of ships/stations/weapons/random models into freelancer, perhaps an official mod team could be assembled, and disco be reborn as a phoenix.
Yeah, and besides, FL could use some more variety of large transport ships, carrying as much as or even more than 4500 cargo. I'm simply bored with everyone flying the large train or container transport. All other, like the whale or behemoth aren't very commonly used for trade. Either arsenal ships or something representative (As I know upon =BSG=example.
However I could take this opportunity to point out that a ship like the whale with no guns ought to have more hold space than the large train which has guns. Perhaps we could make this ship the 5k hold trade ship?
Nice start, though sounds like you are after an 'uber trader' for quick bucks here. Plenty of people still roleplay
their traders, not just use them for a feeder for other characters.
Power levels, gun emplacements, base armour and other factors should be taken into consideration before
submitting any ships to the Mod developer, who has spent a long time with the balance issues to make this as
fair as possible here.

This is a model i made that ill let you lot use to replace the whales current model, it is up to Igiss to change the stats to an "uber" trader, as per lighting issues, space is dark, until i get the hang of the renderer i use ill continue to render ships against a black background ( it takes time to learn, at first i couldnt render anything that was textured) in the future however methinks there will be more going on in the background (shipyard mehby)

Igiss has the ability to edit all of those statistics, mate. He does it quite often.

I do agree that tehre should be more then 1 type of High-lvl trader. Give the players a choice and then they can more easily build their characters around it.
Of Course there is 'U' in Armour, same as in Colour:P
