The infocard of the outcast destroyer turret inform these values:
Hull damage 825
Shield damage 412
Range 1405m
Projectile Speed 1222m/s
Refire rate 2.00
Energy usage 14.000
The cost is 340.000
Now, the basic cruiser turret inform these values:
Hull damage 1300
Shield damage 650
Range 1405m
Projectile Speed 1222m/s
Refire rate 2.00
Energy usage 4.500
The cost is 300.000
So, what is the point of buying the outcast destroyer turret, if the basic cruiser turret offers less energy consumption, more damage and is more cheap? I think theres something wrong with the infocard.
Same thing is happening with the MkI and MkII Order turrets for cruisers and BSs. They take up alot more energy, with barely any increase in damage. Order MkII BS turret does ~350 more hull damage, costs about 250k more. All good so far.. Now see this, it takes 30,000, yes THIRTY THOUSAND energy to shoot once. That over TWICE that of the other BS turrets that range from 11k to 13k energy usage.
The amount of energy consumed is completely out of proportion to the amount of extra damage inflicted.
I brought it up in the 4.82 bugs/suggestions thread.. but considering the amount of posts there, Igiss could have missed it..
What I had suggested there was to change either energy usage of the Order MkI to about 12.5k, and the MkII to about 13.5-14k. Or to up the energy usage of the other turrets to something around 25k-27k
