Cannon (and any other server monkeys that may be around), I've a question that came up from game play tonight. And I'm incredibly irked at myself, as I forgot to have FRAPS running when it happened, but anyway...
I was pursuing someone - and yes, he probably could've made it. But anyway - I'm right at 4K behind him, and suddenly he starts slowing down just a little. (We're both on cruise - no shots have actually been fired yet, just my threat to turn his Order ship into scrap metal.) I think he's EK'd, so I do the same, so I'm ready to fight him. I continue to close slightly - then right when I'm 3K behind him - poof, he vanishes and the log off message shows up.
So - what's the distance at which the 'XX is engaging cloaking device' becomes active, and if someone just switches accounts in mid-flight - does the cloaking message actually come up? And no, the guy didn't jump - we weren't even to the Zoner satellite AND as I said, the 'XXX has logged off' message came up.

I ain't cannon, but that sounds pretty much like F1ing...
But as long as you weren't actually fighting yet I would worry about it to much.
This type of thing seems to happen alot:(

I've made mention in system chat that I'm chasing him. I've threatened him in RP that I'm going to turn his ship into scrap metal. Thou shalt not F1 when someone is RP'ing with you - not just when you're in combat or being pirated.
