I wouldn't help bribing corsairs. Just buy recruit ID, and come to Toledo... there are aways someone to help recruits. Probably You will not be able to take mission becase of rep, so someone will take it for ya.
In order to gain guard rep, you'll have to do A LOT of missions...

oh and one more thing... standing near Toledo shooting nomads won't help. I see many of you trying to gain rep by shoting nomads, but it wont work.
