Some time ago I got scammed of about 5mil, was a significant amount at that time, still is but not too much now. Of course its some time ago, before I quit and rejoined. Of course if I didn't quit I will be in a battleship by now instead of puny battlecruiser, but thats not the point :P

Anyway so is scamming a bannable offence? Its been so long I don't intend to persue this matter any further but would like a conclusive answer anyway.

If someone scams you in RP, it's completely acceptable.

If someone scams you OoRP, I think you should have been more careful.

Either way, I believe the common consensus would be that all the fault rests on your shoulders.

Speaking of rules, Kanga, you're violating One and Two at the moment.

Edit: Sprolk is right about that though, was it OoRP or IC?

Most pirates are reasonable, willing to talk and make me fork out a sum I can afford to lose while still making the rest of the journey worthwhile (its a game, win-'not too badly lose' situation is good, but there are some who choose to be total jerks. Probably RL problems so venting.

OOOOOH! It's one of the "tax 2m" types? Well, my smuggler ran across one of those, so after I docked I pulled out my fighter and made him pay it back double:D.

Not really, I payed him, didn't die, didn't run. (He was an indie barghest pirate, I was an OC fighter)
