So, we all know Ashcroft was smuggling artifacts and the rogues protected him. It is not what we do now, however, but that leads me to the question:

What should the Rogue and Corsair diplomacy be, if we do not take in mind the Outcasts.

Rogues are opportunitists and mostly are in it for the money, but the artifact trade is a rather good source of income.
Discuss.

If you can establish an artifact smuggling right without it being brought to the attention of the Outcast people? Why not, you are opportunists after all.

But I would think if the OC did find out, your bases would be in very short supply of Cardamine, which is your main source of income.

the Rogues simply MUST have some relation with the Corsairs

in SP they constantly said how the Rogues were the main artifact smugglers in Liberty

it's a massive source of income for them

Aye, perhaps through the Junkers? That would seem the best way, as Junkers tolerate both factions at their bases. With the Junkers as go-betweens, I could easily see that the Rogues could get them from their bases in New York and Texas.

Well nowadays the Junkers are dealing with most of the smuggling

but originally, the Rogues were the main suppliers

Speaking from the Outcasts point of view. We'd probably attack the Rogues constantly or get the Lane Hackers to attack them at every turn, if we found out they were smuggling artifacts in the big leagues.

But, the only reason Cardamine is their main source of income is because they don't ship many artifacts anymore.

And now speaking from a players point of view. Go ahead and do it, the Rogues really should already be doing it but keep in mind that in Ashcroft days, the Rogues were a bunch of unorganised thugs with no proper leaders.

So yeah. Do it. But if the Outcasts/Lane Hackers discover you doing it (Without obvious power/metagaming) in the big leagues expect the retribution to be swift and terrible. (InRP of course)

Now would probably be the perfect time to do it, after the [RA] attacks, can the Rogues really trust that [RA] were operating with the Dons orders?
