So to reinvigorate this game for myself I decided I would sell the majority of my ships and buy a ship from the bhg/order/corsair variant, since it seems they get the most excitement up there.

So I have been testing it quite a good deal on discover discovery server. I find the only cap I like out of all them is the osiris, but in no way could I afford one specially after I have sworn of trading for the most part. That leaves me down to the cruisers...

First off I ruled out the geb, its just to spammed. This left it down to the praefect, bullhead and thresher. Now I lean against the praefect due to how gamma is annoying but here in is the problem. I cant decide between a bullhead or thresher.

The bullhead seems pretty decent against bombers/fighters with its flak cannons and such, but I hear it gets shredded by gebs (I have seen like 6 of those things on at once) and that makes me think it might just be a bad idea, not sure though. The thresher, while small, might be able to outmaneuver a geb but I have no clue if it has the firepower to take it down or if bombers/gunboats would wreck it.

Some experienced opinions would be appreciated.

I had forgotten about the resheph. I honestly just want some exciting gameplay plus rp that the constant warfare out there provides because im so bored with this game right now. (Im quite familiar with the resheph anyone know much about it?)

Its a brillient ship to RP, and quite decent in a fight too.

Yes yes, how does it compare to its counterpart the thresher? Also whats its role in a fleet battle as a light cruiser? The rp (reading up on the ship now) seems really interesting as well.

Well, a good setup and pilot can match the Thresher. Its role in a fleet battle would be to scout ahead and take down oponents cruisers.

Resheph and Thresher are both pretty evenly matched. Same amount of guns, roughly the same armor, same shields, same weapon classes, and about the same amount of agility.

I think the Thresher has better rear firing arcs, but I havent really done a comparison of the two yet. In essence, they're both going to be almost identical, so it comes down to whether you want to be in the order, or the bhg.

Of course, if you dont like either of those, you can use a zoner Corvo Class Cruiser, or even a Zoner Fearless Destroyer, both are fairly good ships - larger than the thresher/resheph but with more power and armor. Both of those can be flown as an order pilot, and I think the zoners would be ok with bhg using them, though you might want to ask first.

Then you make yourself a Bomber/Fighter and have some fun.

I hate the Bullhead. I can't stand the weapons firing... like 12 guns on the front? Wut?
