Now it might have come as a shock, or maybe you thought it was just silly, but still, I think that discovery has underestimated the monkeys.

Yes, the monkeys.

You know, the things on primus.

Those things have potential. They have their own docking rings and they can even speak english! What happened to them? They are.. still on primus? There are plenty of RP opportunities you could have with one of these things. What I would like to see, is something built on these awesome creatures.

So is this idea absurd or is it actually plausible? After all, nearly everything except this, disco has built upon.

Another monkey planet? Monkey faction? Monkey npcs?

The Monkeys were a bad idea in the first place, not serious and worth nothing because nobody can play as them or do anything except dock on "their" planet.

I don't think they should do anything else, infact I think they should dissapear and have Primus replaced by something else. Just stick some robots on there and say the radiation killed them all instead of turning them into monkeys.

I used to play on a server (Vanguard 2) where the Monkey and Robot faction allied with the Order to fight the nomads, protecting the last living humans in the New Sirius. (Storyline was set in 850 AS)

Prius and Gammu aka, monkey and robot planets were the places to get the pvp equipment in the vanilla freelancer, since we have guard systems, and bases all over that sell usable equipment, these two places are superfluent.

They could be developed freely or even be removed.
One could become a second Corsair colony...in case Crete gets nuked by the mollies:P
The other one and abondoned Zoner mining colo...or something compleatly different, currently they are worthless.

On another server I have a Monkey RP character called King_Louie. There, there are monkey npcs, and the monkeys work with the order and the robots to combat nomads. Unforntuneatly that is on a pvp server were rp is not mandatory, so there aren't other people rping monkeys.

I would, honestly, rather like to see both bases removed.

Perhaps one could be turned into a barren luna like rock, and given to the Corsairs, but I don't 1: think the eastereggs are condusive to realistic RP, nor 2: think they should be there.

I'd like to see the system as it is, but with the docking bits removed, Simple retcon, removing objects that don't exactly make sense, in my characteristic style of being critical of non-serious RP.

Furthermore...I sometimes think its a shame how disco has built upon everything else. Not that everythign else has been built upon, but the fasion in which it was done. Every last faction getting its own ships, or Gaurd Systems, for example.
