Most GBs have 5 FF turrets and people mount 1 razor and 1 Missile turret so they have only 3 FF slots left.

If you mount all basic GB turrets then
350*4*3= 4200 shield damage What is this My Bomber does more damage than this.

Your bomber doesn't have a Razor. Gunboat turrets are also much faster than fighter weapons. If I were you I would mount the missile on the rear firing turret... Or not at all. Seriously, those things are useless. Wanna know why your damage calculation there is so low? Cause you're mounting that thing.

Right now 90% of the Gunboat population is made up of Outcast Gunships cause 'olol it's a Gunship with 8 turrets!'

Missile turrets useless? Seriously? CDs most of the time don't stop 'em, CMs are next to useless, and it's damn hard to dodge 'em. An Orca with a pair of missiles absolutely raped my Phantom VHF in under five minutes because I couldn't shake any of the missiles now matter how evasive I went. Either the GB missiles have to have an ammo limit placed, or CMs need to not take ammo...

Either we have only a few gunships that are really good, or a ton of gunships that are really bad. We seem to have the latter, and its working just fine.

I'd settle for getting a range buff to GB guns. Right now it's really easy for a fighter to lose their shield, get out of range, wait till their shield/SN energy comes back, run in, run out, ect.

Me being serious here:
Yes, gunboats are a bit wimpy - just because they're so accessible, and everyone got them, so they were nerfed, or weren't upgraded when fighter and bombers might have been.

For their ponderous size, they deserve a bit more command of the battlefield than they do at the moment.
Range upgrades would be a good thing to give them, as damage is already good enough. (Or so I hear, I can't ever hit anyone with mine, so I don't know.)

The orca in question can only fire one missile forewards, so the other is about as much use as a justice turret, and if people cant turn to face you, they missilespam because guns are useless if you cant see the target.

So, no, GB weapons are fine as they are.

I soloed a missile spamming Order GB in my Orchid Bomber. I didn't even have any CMs to begin with. <_<

Not really a gunboat pilot. But from a Fighters perspective and a years experience.

Gunboats are fairly well balanced as is.

Everything is determined by the Ships' equipment setup.
I refuse...to see gunboats of the "I pwn All" category. .... Like my old tactic of strafing in a gunboat and soloing a LABC in 4.84........


For the moment. They seem fine. If anything needs to be increased. Maybe the gun ranges on standard turrets.

Although i've seen one or two pilots of just about impossible skill.... (Violentblade, if anyone knows him...rediculous GB pilot)
