First off we all are saying here that we are sorry, legacy has been filled with lolwuttery and stupidity for quite a while and we mean to change this. If you have past grudges or anger put that aside we are changing right now and soon will be something completely different. A few of us have been mentored by very good rpers on this server and have learned a lot and hopefully we can do them proud.

Go ahead and post with suggestions for additions or changes you think this list should have (its still in debate) but please please please dont bring past grudges are complaints in here. Legacy starts anew (irony yes I know) and with this change we hope to be new and something you all get along with to some degree.

Right now here is the definite things we are doing

Pirate ids for all legacy crafts

All legacy members are required to have a transport ship in the vicinity when they are pirating, no pirating alone (this rule has an exception for those moments when its to good to pass up, I can expound on this if you wish but it will be uncommon when this happens). Also we are going to be sneakier and more junkerlike in pirating (if you dont think junkers can or should pirate go play original freelancer they could and did) where we will be less confrontational with the law (unless aiding allies) and will try to pirate when there is less chance of getting caught.

No oorp in system or local. Oorp is ok in legacy only groups, but when with others who rp in group chat (we dont feel that group chat is rp where if we rp we should be rping with all those around us, not just keeping it to ourselves) we will do the same.

Setting up a ranking system. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, sorry opg, but we will be using something quite similar to opgs rat system. I will edit this post with what it is when we actually decide on names and structures for the ranks.

Ship line restriction:Legacy
Borderworlds line
Civilian line
Zoner fighters
Junker ships
Factional ships that are widely available via blackmarket or open market (examples would be raven's talon and havoc mk II)

Ship Line restriction: Ltc
Gull, perechon, ptrans, ptrain, train line of ships, Borderworlds transport, heavy tanker, slave liner, prison liner

A note to add on shiplines. If a member fully rps it out (forum and ingame) they can get ships that are white on the chart to junkers. Gunboats fall into this (only for higher ranking members though) and will require a good story or factional diplomacy to buy said ship. Cruisers will be allowed for the most senior of staff and require a great great great deal of rp AND diplomacy to get ahold of.

If I might ask, this -does- mean you're getting rid of the AI cruisers, right?

Also, I must applaud your decision. This is the first time I've seen a lolwuttery group decide to change and fit into the existing roleplay. My hat comes off to you, sir.

I only know of one member with an ai cruiser. From what I know he is doing a pretty neat rp with it and once he finishes writing his story will be going for a ai id. Im not going to stop that unless he starts abusing it, and I think the danger of flying one without that id is enough of an incentive to hurry up with it even though his rp seems to be good. As I said im not going to stand in the way of neat rp, as long as its not being abused and rp'd out well.

He may have to fly a shf ai fighter at first till he gets his rp worked out, I need to talk to him about it, but thats for another time.

Also thanks I honestly am doing my uttermost to change and so are others inside legacy.

First of all, yes I am angry at all the llwuttery you guys have commited in the past to this day.

You are not 'improving', You are simply reaching the minimum standard of roleplay that is expected in Discovery.

Furthermore, I don't understand what exactly your RP is either. What do you hope to achieve through this? What will your RP be like? Are you just a bunch of bad junkers? Are you more than that? I haven't seen a single example of good roleplay from either of you.

And no, I am not sorry for the miniflame I have just written.

Once you reach those standards, that's when you should consider 'improving'.

But yes, just as Boss said, you are one of the few groups who have decided to change, I applaud you, but you have a long way to go.

Alright, cool. Can't wait to see the story. I've seen people come and go, but I'd rather you guys be able to fit it in and stay.

Sorry for a post so quickly but I forgot to mention this.

Our rp is being reworked, we may even not be junkers anymore but hope we can change things to fit it a bit more. Give us time this is only the first step, a good deal of the ones who care are debating it on another forum. This is the bare minimum that has to be done now, the rp will take more care and finess. Rp and writing in general is art you cant just throw slop on paper and hope it works, this is just putting the canvas up and jessoing it so we can start painting the picture that is our rp.

The following statement might run a little contrary to the theme of this post, some of the feedback that you've received and feedback you will receive in this thread.

But be careful with extremes. Words like "must", in regards to transports and similar ultimatums have a tendency of extracting a cost on fun which isn't paid out in return. Be wary of attempting to satisfy everybody to atone for misconducts in the past. Work to find a ground which serves to satisfy the interests of yourselves and your friends and then see how you can ensure that you can provide as good a time for others.

I once, back in the day, threw some "musts" into the operation of the Xeno Alliance which ultimately turned out to be a mistake. I did so to help enforce the ideals of fair play to hopefully further satisfy the ideas of how I should conduct myself as prescribed by everyone else.

Just try to be excellent, engage in fair play and make the best time you can for yourselves and the people around you. Sometimes people will get angry at you regardless of what you might do the rest of the time, it happens.

Though I applaud your ambition to improve your game, don't let this post serve as a deterrent to that, it's just the first thing that came to mind.

For what it's worth, and my suggestions are rarely worth much, feel free to fling me a PM or two if you have any questions that you would like my feedback on. I'd be happy to help or offer my time.

I don't just want to hear this said, I want to see it done. Ghost.Ship failed to do this, and that's why I don't see them around here. They could say post after post "We're fixed, here's a new rule" and then get ss'd breaking it.

If I see just one "OMG" "WTF" or "LOL" I'm going to let you know, and hope they get kicked out.
