My problems with the server

Beware! No pirate or lawful will be spared from the holy flamers of the Adeptus Astartes! (Seriously, i flame as i see the problems, most factions are gonna get a flaming here so that no-one can complain, If you see a problem with my flaming PM me and i will be happy to flame them too)

I have a Luxury Liner, I bought it because i love how it looks, like the firepower, the armour and the cargo space. Unfortunately the Liners that cost more than some Cruisers are pretty much useless at anything. Because pirates are mostly in Bombers and Gunboats, the Liner might look like it can hold its own, as players are not allowed to pirate in Cruisers and above, Unfortunately because players are allowed to pirate in anti-capital ships, the bombers and gunboats the survivability factor of most transports including the Liners, (they cost 202 freaking million credits with nothing on them!) can be factored in at this, 1 LR pirate in a barghest has 4 Debilitators, 1 inferno, 1 SNAC and 1 train CD, that means about 15 seconds ish for your shield to be gone and about 6-8 seconds for your hull, if you have bots/batts at full then you may be able to prolong the fight to 50-60 seconds. Hooray!

This means that the pirates are free to make impossible demands if the goods sell well near where you are, example, I was pirating in Galileo, i have a friend who has access to some smugglers, No-5 was passing in a firefly, I said drop the cargo, he of course didn't, so i hit him in the rear with 3 Nova torps, that means insta death, no chance to use bots/batts. I just called in my friend and we split the profits. Easy cash.

Unfortunately there are several bombers that are about that good that are widely avaliable, the rheinland ones and if you get just 1 LR rep hack you can get the barghest. This means that it is incredibly easy for pirates to just kill you, So therefore there is no purpose in getting an escort as the pirates will just kill you and run away going "lolol" There goes your profit, the price of the cargo and whatever you had to pay the escort.

Gunboats as well are very overpowered for pirating ships, i met one gunboat who had full pulse cannons and Battle Razors, So, lets see, No chance for a trader to escape. Its like in real life putting some dude in an F1 car and another on foot, Tell the guy on foot to try and get away and the guy in the car to run him over. The guy on foot has got a chance about that of a snowball in hell.

What i am trying to say is this, Buff the transports or make maximum piratable ship a VHF, that puts them on par with your escorts for the most part, even if you have a Cruiser there and a VHF, you still die, the turrets are so far apart on most transports that they are useless unless the other player is sitting there and waiting for you to be shot while trying to pirate you with mining lazorz. THEN you might have a chance at either winning or getting away, maybe.

Usually there are more than one pirate, like there being 2 or 3 bombers, a VHF or 2 and maybe a coupla gunboats if its a major operation. I know for a fact that 1 bomber and a gunboat can shut down trade through a sector unless someone goes about 50k out of their way to avoid them. The solution could be to bump up the speed on the transport guns, Up the shielding and armour on the transports. For liners i am working on a Liner only faction that i am planning on getting a home system for where it is the only place you can buy liners, as the only people that use them for trading that i can see are Me, and the other members of {SLC} (we don't even trade people, the official RP is going to be that they are refitted at Livida for cargo) Then they can get a little bit buffed if access to them is restricted, Like... Bigger cargoes, Better shields, i mean come on, they are as big as damned battleships and their shields are worse than gunboat shields, Would a cruiser shield be too much to ask for? maybe bumo the Transport turrets down to class 6 and have the class 7 as Liner specific turrets.

Anyways, back to the main rant. Pirates are at present WAY overpowered, the LR for example, Supposedly they are small time crooks with very few resources, yet they have a Gunboat, A bomber and a cruiser. The Lane Hackers are yet again supposed to be small time gangsters with good technology but not too good on the resources side. And they have a damned battleship! The corsairs ad the outcasts i can understand having large ships as they are basically houses, the Zoners too as they have a large resource web and lots of people. But the small criminal groups are elevated almost to the point of being as good as the military, and in the Lane Hackers case they are as good as the military.

And again I valiantly flame forward!
The Phantoms,
Oh yes, i am going to flame everyone deserving of it! They are the only faction that can buy weapons that are at a codename level from the NPCs, Why not just make there some RP about researchstations doing experimenting and coming up with house specific class 10s that are basically renamed codies? they also have a fighter that can take eight guns! EIGHT FREAKING GUNS! They also have weapons designed for these gun slots with having class 8 pulse cannons, class 9 and class 10 guns. Why?! and why not make the Phantoms nto a major empire? Open up the C'tan and make them another house? that people can join and not be just invited into?

The Nomads,
Okay lemme see, Nerf them a little bit, Restrict them to Iota, Maybe Delta and some of the other systems where you see nomads, The way to get into the nomads? FAIL!!!! What STOOGE thought up the idea of a nomad trial account and didn't post a massive link to a rules section on it????!?!?!?!??!? People have to RP in a place where just about everone is gonna shoot you on sight because your in a pink and purple ship. And most of them fail at it. The nomad trial ID should come with some toned down Nomad weaponry or with no weaponry at all, its erally hard to not go "LULZ IZ A FUNNZY NOMAD!" when you see a 'nomad' light fighter with some Liberty weaponry and a Mini-Razor. There should also be naming guidelines for the Trial ID because then the Keepers can actually tell when someone is trying for the nomads and go and see if they are RPing well, If so all cool let em in, if not CORRECT THEM!!! Tell them what they are doing wrong so that they can be better players, not just go "No Nomad stuff for you!".

The wild,
Just WTFness all round, If they are remenants from the Rheinland fleet that was infected they should have been wiped out by now, there shouldn't be a wild faction with its damn OPness. I just do not get why that even exists at all.

The corsairs,
Way too many of them, WTFness a lot when you see corsairs pirating WAY out of their ZOI and in those really OP gunboats, like the ones you see in Tau-31, middle of OC controlled space.... WAT DA CRAP??!??!??!

Outcasts,
Okay, too many of them, too much smuggling from alledged Zoners. Outcasts pirating from allies and neutrals and everyone without checking their ID, Killing people and calling it an effect of the Cardi. NoNoNONONONONO! FAIL! also there being so many OC is fail as the Cardi is supposed to kill the birth rate.

Thats it on the major pirates, If i missed on your faction complain to me and i will flame you as well. Just to be fair.

Corporations,
Nothing much to complain about, there are not enough players who RP as belonging to a corporation to be worth a whinge.


Houses,
Kusari, THERES NO-ONE FREAKING THERE!!!!! If you are getting pirated don't bother to shout out about it, the pirate will kill you and even if a KNF person does show they will prolly be in a light fighter.

Rheinland,
Damn stupid fools and their 'Trade Embargo' It just means that they getg a kick out of pissing people off, They do not help where you are getting owned by pirates, if you kill wild and then they find you doing it you get told off. WTF?All that the RM does is threaten traders, you can't even take goods through rheinland from liberty, Zoners can't take stuff to Freeports, (yes i have been told "Noez! no stuffz go thru!" when i am taking Neon to Freeport 11 and not going through alaska.

Liberty,
LN useless, useless useless, there are too few good RPers out there, there are way too many non LN cap ships, come on, arent the Cap ships supposed to be only for officers? not every tom dick and harry who can powertrade for a coupla days.

Once again, too few police, occasionally there are some BAF but, sorry to yous who helped me out with those Buc| people, You suck at killing fighters, come on there were 2 bombers and a VHF and you couldn't take em out in a Cruiser with solaris turrets and missiles and a VHF, i got killed needless to say and your trigger-happiness cost me about 4 million in cargo.

Zoners,
Much as i love the Zoners, i need to do some serious flaming on the Zoners otherwise no-one will even take notice, Cap ships, A little restriction on them please? maybe make the cap ships only gettable from a certain location that you need like Zoner Council rep or something to get to, Anyone can get the Zoner Guard rep, just fly in and get their capship, That needs restricting, Alright, im gona flame myself a little here and more at the end of the flaming. Zoner Smugglers, Don't take slaves! its against the whole Zoner ideals, Don't threaten to bring the wrath of the Zoners on poor pirates who are taxing you.

Independant traders,
DO NOT GET A FREAKING ZONER BWT UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ZONER GUARD IFF AND ID! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE I WILL KILL YOU!
Other than that they appear to be a group of moderate to high supidity, (trying to run from a barghest in a firefly, No-5 you get the Darwin award, and a gold medal for trying again:P)

I don't like these people, one of them taxed me when i was making inRP zoner runs, they asked for a donation, They stick to too small an area and they are as common as ants near a honey jar, GET RID OF SOME PEOPLE!!! I think that the game would be better if the OPG did not pirate Zoners, Zoners are supposed to provide food to all of the pirate factions, so.... why pirate them?

This is just sad, Junkers are the trash pickers of the world, they are not supposed to be a powerful faction that has its own bases, Freighters and Guard system, They are just supposed to be maybe 1-2 people on a ship, more if it's a family group. Theres not much wrong with the Xens if you think about it...apart from the fact that every time I log on to my [LN] I hear [color=#FF0000]YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! over the system chat. Its very distracting.
