Need ship advice

I have two new characters I'm setting up:

1. A Cryer motivated by the desire to save his daughter's life. He knows her illness is somehow related to Nomads, so he periodically makes trips to collect their remains. Put simply, he needs any ship of any type which Cryers can use that kills Nomad NPCs well. Difficulty: I'm really bad at combat and lag quite a bit. Actually, he's bad at combat too, so my weakness is RP-compatible. How well does an Eagle stack up? What about an Armored Transport? Any recommendations?

2. Another character is Mr. Joker. He has a name, but he's more or less forgotten it. He's become pathologically obsessed with attention-seeking through "humor" -- often at others' expense. So he needs a ship that's fast, agile, and capable of taking a few hits. Nothing unlawful, but I'm otherwise open to just about anything. What will best enable him to get away from those he annoys (and survive NPCs as well)? Weapons aren't very important. He'd rather run than fight. I have a few ideas, but what might best match this character?

Any help is appreciated. I've been browsing the wiki for a couple of hours now, but I still don't have a good sense of what to pick. My trader character has about 200 million in the bank, so cost isn't much of an issue for either of the new characters.

1. Eagle - Can stand up against enemies.

2. Arrow - Quick and fast.

The armoured transport will be able to hold more nomads - if you know how to aim well you could be chewing up the nomad npcs in short order.

The kingfisher would be a nice choice - civilian, HF shields and good agility. Arrow works also.

Eagle is a weak ship. Eats razors due to huge hitbox, low hull, low powerplant, and what touches dodging, sabre beats it here.

Anyhow I thinkit perfectly sticks to the first cahracter.

And second, you may look up at Tigershark lf.

First one, I'd look into a freighter. Anki, X-Shuttle, Dromedary or Camara.

Second one, Kingfisher sounds good.

Thanks for all the help. I do have a concern about freighters' ability to actually kill Nomads, since their weapons seem to be limited compared to, say, the Armored Transport.

As for the second one, I'd like to use something not many other people are using. It would be more unique then. I suppose that I do actually need the ability to move around Sirius, though, and some of the less-used House ships would tie me to a particular ID and a narrow ZOI. It might be fun to be unarmed. Then I could joke about people shooting an unarmed man.

For your first char, you could take the Grizzly into consideration, a damn fine ship, with 8 guns/turrets all facing forwards and a huge amount of bots and bats.

Get something with lots of pew-pews to avoid QQ's.

But really, get an Arrow with a pair of Starbeams for Joker.

P.S. Armored transport. Handles like a bomber, but with a bunch of forward-facing Vengeance Mk IV turrets and 3 Mk V's. Er... That is to say, if you're in the Navy!
