Some new player experience improving tips

Hola, me has several ideas to share, please dont take them too seriously, they are just ideas. No, no, no, not more capship threads, this one is about improving discovery experience for newbies.

1-Helpchat not obvious enough no? Its not just me, but most of the newbies I ask don't know it exist. Plus, link not working no? Methinks we should get a browser built IRC channel and a newbie help forum.

2-Maybe go easy on lolwutters in pensyl and new york? Maybe make pensyl OORP, well it already is with all the chatter going around. NY isn't much better, but at least its supposed to be the shopping mall of sirius.

3-Make starflyer starting ship better? Maybe give it more gun, more shield armor cargo, better all round but still same sell price. Better justice mark 1 but same sell price. Yes they should have to build themselves up like everyone else but right now only practical way up is to join a corp to get a ship. Bleeding our coffers dry, them who come and go. We give them credits, they end up disappearing.

Just keeping an open mind...feel free to add ideas!!

No. I know you don't care about it, but this is a RP server. No OORP Systems please. Conneticut is enough.
NY is bad enough as it is. Do you really want it to get worse?

Oh, come on! Like many others, i've started on a Starflea, upgrading to a freighter, then to a transport and so on...everything without joining a coorperation and with a great deal of fun. You don't need to buff the Starflea.

A wild goose chase (RP story)

I'll propose a new system to be added to 4.86 to make it easier for the newbies. It should contain the following items:

1) Mineable areas that drops 10K Sirius Credit cards.
2) Have 1 base for each faction in the game.
3) Each bases should have a Mining Ship, a Battleship appropriate for the faction owning the base, and a Bomber for the faction owning the base. These ships must not cost more than 9500 cr.
4) When the ships are purchased, they should come with a full compliment of weapons, shields, Armor upgrades, and a Battleship License.
5) All RP rules should be changed to just recommendations in that system.
6) The system should have a JH to each and every other system.
7) Admins should have their hull and guns reduced to respectively 50 units and 1 Shield/1 Hull damage, and may only fly a Starflea there.
8) The system should be named either Omicron Silverleaf, or Omicron Lolwut.

Its silly.

Seriously, people on discovery can be so selfish sometimes.

If they are doing something wrong - sanction them, so they know you are serious and that you can learn from it.

Votekicking, kicking in general... these things ruin fun for people. It might be that it might improve the fun of loads of other people, but how would you feel if you were kicked? Its almost like scamming... in some ways.

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

I have to say that appart from the first one, your ideas will probably not be realised.

2 Because here is an RP server. Commecticut is and will always be the ONLY oorp system here.

3 Everyone here who is now having good stuff and making a good amount of money has started in a flea. Did you see any of us complaint?
