Hi everyone. I was thinking what if you could attach a jammer pod to a hard point that when "shot" would take away the leading crosshairs of an engaging ship for a short period of time. You could have levels that improve the rang, refire and duration of this weapon. Of course it would have to take up a lot of energy so it would be a tactical choice to use jammer at the cost of your weapons. As a person with no modeling or coding experience I honestly have no idea if it could be done. So my questions are: could this jammer be built and does anyone really want it or feel that it is necessary (I feel that I'm going to be told to get better at dogfighting).
I'm new here so I don't really know how things work but its cool if a noob with no modeling abilities posts as much as I have in the developers section right?:$If not I don't feel offended.
It's an interesting idea, but there are a few small issues with it.
1) We don't have the source code. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure we'd need it to implement it.
2) All of the people even halfway decent with using Razors/Infernos/Supernovas never use it anyways.
