trade with planets

hello my friends i have one question is there a way so i can dock and trade on a planet with large ship ?
or when you buy a large ship you are forced to trade only with the orbiting stations of the system?

Mooring Fixture, the big things above the docking rings.

They work just the same as docking rings, but faster.
And big ships can use only them.

It's not actually common knowledge when you're first starting on this server. I had the same problem years ago, too.

I didn't know until I was playing around Manhattan on my starflier on the first day in game. Then I discovered how to insta dock everything.
