I have noticed several times ships docking and then running away using a lane that has been very recently disabled. Is that even possible?

Sometimes when the server's having issues a downed lane will let traders pass.

I've experienced this phenomenon both as a pirate and as a trader.

Happened to me the other day, athenian and andre I think were with me. Was mad infuriating.

Not just someone not being disrupted by a dead lane, but actually docking the lane right after you've killed it and zooming off.

*Whispers: It's a lane hacker conspiracy I tell you. It's so that illegitimate hijackings are policed by the lane hackers! Don't want them Rogues to get a share of our profits now...*

it happeneds all the time, Ok when you kill the lane its energy down for 1 minute and you cannot enter it.. but if it is already down fro about 30-40 seconds those who already in the lane sequence will pass and you cannot kill that lane as its energy didnt regen yet

The settings that were changed cause a difference in time the gate is "down", and unable to be docked with, and how long the gate has to be down before people in a lane approaching it can pass through without getting kicked out.

In otherwords, some settings weren't properly tuned.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

That leads to one solution. Shoot down the tradelane only then, then you see incoming trader on your scanners.

I've always done this and no problem so far. Plus it's more difficult to spot you then in case the approaching trader targets lane gates 20K ahead.

constantly keeping the lane down is:(

also, believe it or not, you can spot the lane being disrupted from... 50k.
True story.
