Well I am throwing some ideas around, and I am looking for some info on the topic of Cardamine.
Mainly...how addicting do you think it is?
Some actual drugs can be used a few times before an addiction forms, but I don't know if Cardamine would do that. I'd also like to know what you think the minimum required dose is to keep from going into withdrawl, but without causing the high...or atleast keeping it minimal. What do you figure that an overdose would be like?
Lastly, Liquid cardamine is supposedly far more powerful...I'd want to know what you think it would be like if someone was shot up with a massive overdose of LC (just short of it killing them)? I figure that could cause an addiction as well...dunno really though.

Cardamine is extremely addictive, as in 1 dose, your hooked, permanently. It alters your DNA & grants some enhancements such as longer life, enhanced strength & intelligence ( in most cases, few of the lolwutters must be immune)but also severely drops the reproduction rate.
There also is no cure for it. So if you take it, or land on Malta, your forever cursed with it. To not have it is a very painful death ( imagine not having air to breath for 10 minutes).
Liquid cardamine currently would kill anyone that took it other than Nomads & possibly very VERY old Outcast's ( the BLS faction is working a rp with the keepers to make LC usable by Outcasts)
Thus, role play wise, if your an outcast & out of the Alpha system, you should be carrying Cardi on your ship to survive.

Hope that helps with your questions.

Regarding the liquid cardamine, I thought that it was used as more of a high-power, but easy to hide dose...I have a load of it on my science ship, and the info card still says something along these lines. Was that altered, or did I just not get the idea right?

Thanks for the info though, that does help me out alot.

What Obnoxious said is just about right, but let me just clarify one thing: The DNA mutation and lifespan increase is a gradual process. You don't just take a dose and get instantly mutated.

Also, rare individuals may have an immunity to the drug (and by "rare", I mean everyone and their mother seems to roleplay it as so. I do:P)

PS: The whole "must carry cardamine" is a load of bull. I can roleplay it as so without having it on my cargo hold. Or rather roleplayed in the past when I had an Outcast.

Liquid cardi was introduced in the release of 4.85. Been a lil arguing as to the use of & such, for now it's primarily a Nomad thing, but we are working with the keepers to make a safe for outcast version

Hmm...
well if Liquid Cardamine is still a "work in progress", something still being sorted out
what ways do you think one could take Cardamine, other than the breath mask that is?

If your very first dose of Cardamine was higher, do you think that could affect the addiction...I mean if you take more initially is it a more intense addiction? Or do you figure a Cardamine addiction is just a Cardamine addiction?

While it is a PHYSICAL addiction, you may Develop a Pshcholigical One as well. A higher initial Dose, MAY Cause a Faster Phschological Addiction

Yeah being on Malta doesn't mean auto addiction. It would take at least a month for that to happen. You might feel some after effects.. but its not as bad as smoking it in its pure form.
