Hello lads,

I have seen Shire transports alot and well they look very nice and good fun to RP and trade with. SO can an outcast have one? ID and no iff? I have seen it before and i am curious is if even allowed considering the treaty Outcasts and Bretonia does have?

Also for the shire users among you, is it a good transport do yo get big bucks wth it? and also is the wiki right? Does it have 4200 cargo?

I personally wouldn't get one as an outcast. Why get that when you could have an ptrain/trans. I think that the treaty is just for not attacking stuff (correct me if I'm wrong). Also you must consider this: what would Liberty think of Bretonia if they gave an outcast (enemy of Liberty) one of their best transports? So yeah, stick with the pirate transport or train.

I've never liked smuggling under the Outcast flag. Too many enemies and too few options. Smuggling, IMO, should be a secret activity, not something every scanner picks up from afar. It's better to smuggle with a Smuggler, Freelancer, or Junker ID. Pirate Train is a really nice ship and much more agile than Shire Trans.

The Shire is a Bretonian ship, not an Outcast one. It wouldn't be good for public relations anyway for the Bretonians to give outcast smugglers ships to spread their corrupting cardamine across Sirius.

You "can" in the same way that Junkers "can" buy Tridentes. But seriously, stick with the Firefly or BW Trans or something.

Also, never mind worrying about broadcasting an IFF that gets you shot at. This is an RP server, not a "silently powertrade while broadcasting neutral colors" server. Sometimes you lose a shipment, big deal.

I'm one of those weird people who doesn't mind losing credits on a cargo run if the RP regarding the heist is worth it.

Pirate ID's good too. Rep-fixes all lawful bases to hostile, so you aren't tempted to go docking on manhattan (where you'd probably get caught by customs).

That said, there's nothing wrong with putting an Outcast ID on a smuggler/trader for RP reasons. If I saw an Outcast ID on a Bretonian Train/Shire though, I'd probably question him ooc for some RP rationale.

I'd like to see you fly that thing through 23 personally. But in all seriousness, the Shire is meant to be a new and occasionally comissioned vessel for BOWEX directly. I as a Planetformer don't even want to get one because of it's direct link to BOWEX. And besides, you get CD'd in that thing by a bomber, you can consider yourself boned.
