I thought of this a little while ago, and the main problem I saw was hours of operation and trust. People have to trust you with their money and you have to be online often enough for them to withdraw when they need to. Also how do you enforce debt collection when people miss payments?

I would apreciate your feedback on this idea.
It's a fun RP and good for the server -if- handled correctly. I've made mistakes, and the best thing I can say is focus more on the loans and the crowd that you give them to. It's a tough trade-off, as you want to help the newbies, but those are the ones most likely to up and quit. In-game advertising is a must, since most don't seem to have forums accounts (you'd be surprised at how many). I may think of others late but my time is short ATM so I'm going to have to cut this short. You can PM me, or IM me on skype with any questions and I'd be happy to help.

For the low-end loans, it's damn near impossible. You could have them give you codenames, armor, or something else of high-value as collateral, but if they had the money for such things it's not likely they'd need that loan in the first place.
For high-end loans it's good to have a copy of their account, so if they up and leave then you can at least get a portion of your cash back. Note that there are ways around this if they really want to screw you over, but I found that most either leave or forget about the loan. The less common ones being those that ignore your messages and wait for you to go away.

And they walked away with 500 million of my credits.
You can certainly try to make a bank, but they have all failed so far.
No, Reaven is correct that BNKL still lives. I just haven't had the time nor the ability to recheck all the books, which somehow were screwed. Which needs to be done before everything is handed off.
