I never understoood it... why are they friends? Could a guildmaster of the GMG/member of the ZOner council explain it to me?

It's a trade alliance only, like the one with the IMG. The Zoner players have been trying to get it removed from the faction infocard, as it being called a full alliance makes no sense.

i guess nowadays it is a beneficial symbiotic relationship. - the GMG as a stable force in the borderworlds but iwth a good footing in the houses deals in raw materials and recently in establishing a presense in okinawa.

the zoners are a siriuswide group of multiconnected individuals and stations, organized strongly locally but also interconnected via a siriuswide network. - in short - a perfect community to spread commodities and to forge deals and friendship.

the zoners on the other hand have the benefit of unmatched deals for their trade - and the opportunity to be sole providers of much needed materials in the borderworlds as well as the edgeworlds.

the way i see it - there is no emotional friendship or something - but a solid logical business partnership. - both factions know exactly how much they benefit from one another - both know that the other faction is a perfect match for them.

even in terms of ideology - they are at least not opposing each other. - the GMG being a strong community or group that even opposed a house in their past - the zoners a group that left the core and grew powerful against all odds.

So this is all about ensuring monopoly in trade for each other faction then? Some house corporations won't be too happy about that.

but then again, It would be harder to get Zoner Guard rep, because you'd have to kill order instead of GMG to do double bribe again.
