Hi all, im looking for someone who can help me out - point me in the right direction, etc. First Ill say what I want to do:
Ive created 5 battleship models - hardpointed, etc. But i do have one problem with them: Theyre too big to fit in the tradelanes. Now this is all well and good, untill you want to cross from one corner of the map to the other; which can take FOREVER, not to mention the added difficulty of asteroid feilds. So i came up with a solution. Only problem is, i dont kno if my solution will work, and if it can work, where to start. I decided to try and create a 'Hyperspace' mode of travel, allowing the ships to create their own 'portable tradelane'. The biggest problem im having is getting the ship to become 'invisible' while in 'hyperspace', unable to hit anything, unable to turn and getting the trade-lane effect around the ship. Can somebody help with that? Is it possible? Im also trying to make the 'Hyperdrive' a buyable item, so that you can buy better drives that allow faster/longer travel, and faster charging.

Intresting idea... unfortunatly, as far as I'm aware, you'd have to replace either the thruster or the Cruise Engine. As this mod tries to keep the spirit of the original FL, that most likely won't be possible. However... PM and we'll see what we can do, ok?
