Today when installing some new stuff on the server I thought, hmm I'll probably mess this up - I'll send a message to universe chat to warn players.

Later I thought maybe that wasn't a good idea as I just interrupted everybody's fun with one universe wide OORP spam message tellling them that the server is possibly going to crash and further ruin their fun. (It didn't this time).
CONSOLE: Testing in process. Weird stuff may happen.
CONSOLE: (Weirder than normal)
John.Shepard: we know! *hits console again*
So my question is: Would you like a warning message or not?

Pros: You know it might crash or go weird
Cons: You know it might crash or go weird and it interrupts some RP.

PS: Ores and uncut diamonds can be sold for a fair bit of money now but you'll need to find the good buy locations. In some instances the buy locations and prices have moved.

Yes, just do it as a Sirius wide News broadcast.
Basically an inRP sirius wide broadcast.

I don't see how can a single console message interrupt roleplay.

Personally I'd like to see a warning beforehand. It hardly disrupts anything.

Flying under radar.

You can use the old euphemism "Ion storm" is coming and make the sentence to fit in.

"This is Sirius weather service announcement. Today we might have unexpected ion storms and other anomalies."

Flying under radar.

Warning is preferred.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Make it a message from God/s (depending on Religion).

"Sirius will be altered, your perception of things may be different. Take a quick slumber".

"Oh chuffing blimey, another day, another person being whiney!"
