So, you're making a character that will act as a Freeport? That would be pretty cool.

And by the looks of it, you're planning on having it work like a station. People can buy and sell commodities/equipment from you, or so you make it seem. Are you planning on flying around with these goods and equipment at all times? It would be difficult to remain stocked, I'd think.

Other than that, neat idea! I'll be looking forward to seeing it in space.

Yeah, it's pretty much what I want it to be: a Player controlled station. I'll try to rely on Independent Traders and such to keep on stocks, too.

How would you determine the prices you would be buying/selling commodities for?

If that's done right... SHCOK, HORROR.

Disco suddenly has a slightly dynamic economy. Well, part of it anyway.

This is a really cool idea. I'd do it myself if you weren't doing it already.

Stocking it will be interesting. I'd guess someone would buy nanobots and batteries for you and sell them to you at a slightly higher price. You could probably get away with bots and bats at 250 each since, well, you're in the middle of nowhere and you spend your precious time doing this. Could be something I'd ship to you if it's profitable. Selling anything really would be at a bit of a higher price. You'd really need some form of Zoner immunity to attack, however, which may be a problem.

I talked with some Zoner councils, and they said it's logic to have a NFZ around it.

I'm taking in consideration all of your suggestions, and I'll try to come up with something.

Big problem here... if your placing it where FP 7 was then arnt nomads gonna come back and finish you off aswell?

(HINT HINT KEEPERS)

Apart from that amazing idea but a brage would be more suited.

Not RP-wise. The Jinkusu was designed as a mobile freeport. The Barge was designed as something that admins would laugh about when a player gets it and notices that the impulse speed is 29 and the cruise engine takes ten minutes to get to "full". Jinkusu-class juggys are better suited for this kind of awesome RP story thing/service/base/awesomeness.

Great idea

My Zoner cruiser currently moves spaceship crews and scientists etc to and from various Freeports. Would be more than happy to deliver various items to yourself. Would cetainly make it more interesting than going to the various freeports and interacting with people on the way If I can interact with a 'living and breathing' freeport, so to speak.

What cargo capacity will you have?

Looking forward to this becoming a reality

Well, since barge requires some sort of RP background, I'll first start with a Juggernaut to see if the idea can live. I still need to assemble a couple of million credits, but if all goes well, it should be ready soon. Goods will most likely be things such as Food Rations, Synth Paste, other generic goods such as Wine and etc etc.

Unless the Admins downgrade the weapons of my juggernaut into Transport weapons, and gives my Juggernaut 25,000 cargo hold limit. Which would be above awesomness. <.<
