I had a thought about this cruiser for a long while and tonight I made it as a model. It is basically a Deep Inquest - (research) - Cruiser made by the Order. This ship holds a nomad light fighter (is not placed on these pics) as it gathers information from it's brain. This hold is located on the 'cresent' center of it - Inside the rings.

However, the Power Core or the Power Plant of this ship is similar to the Zoner Corvo Cruiser - A bit weaker due to no armor plates. Thus, this ship contains 9 turret hardpoints - not much, but it should ha e good fire power on protecting itself from threats. Though, this ship will be wreck in pieces very easily if entered in battle. Hence, the power plant.

And to add the funny part of this model. This ship looks like something from the males organic reproduction system. I had to laugh on Blue Spawn comment. I seriously LMAO.
Enjoy the view:

That "cresent" shape made me think all kinds of dirty thoughts.

On topic: Your designs lack form, balance of shapes, and flow. I suggest you do a lot of concept sketching before you go into the 3d stuff. Post your sketches on the forum. Also, try to copy drawings of other space ships. If you do it often enough, you'll establish a library of shapes and forms in your head and be able to use them in ways that work best.

I can comment on this model here, but nothing I say will really help you. You're at a point where you need practice and understanding of form before I can give you helpful critique.

on to talking about the model:

the design follows nothing in terms of the current order build theme. the order ships have a tubular structure ending with a big engine (osiris) or a couple smaller engines (carrier, dessie). its fat, and the pillar things on the sides remind me of the rheinland cruiser more than anything. the semi circular protrusion serves what purpose? i cannot see any reasoning behind it, please enlighten me. furthermore, the cage looks like a makeshift shipyard for fighters/bombers/small freighters more than a cage, so that concept/design needs to be rethought.

and finally.

edit: my bad, i didnt read the part which mentions it not being for discovery.

It looks like the Nomad Cruiser found a friend.

I concur.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

A ship with a giant buttplug on the bow. you do NOT want to get rammed from behind by that.

I think you should name it the "Ramming ship" in honor of the ancient Greeks:P
