Getting out of the house!

So I spend most of my time in house space, Liberty and Bretonia Mostly.

I'd like to get out in to the edge worlds, etc but I can't pewpew very well, 'cos of my connection. Therefore I'm usually stuck with mining\trading.

Now, I guess I could get a cap and pewpew NPCs out there, but I have a feeling I'm not well respected enough to be flying around in one, just yet.

So my question is, what can I do outside of the house systems without too much pewpew?

PS: I apologise for the over use of 'pewpew'

PSS: Please god, don't give me an Equaniminitee-esque 'Come to Kusari.' I'm asking for help, and you'll need to be more specific.

You could RP a scientist, out in space researching and such.

Get a Nomad and make the outcasts at Alpha bow down to you.

Mingle with the Zonnies.

P.S. There are a lot of possibilities, my advice, just leave the house systems, and see what happens.

Make a freelancer in a little ship and just go to the edge worlds and talk to people. Doesn't have to be for a reason just rock up to somebody and start chatting away.

Researcher/explorer is pretty good idea but you got that.
If you wish to be a bad guy you can always RP something like mad captain psycho cannibal in Slave Liner who is attacking transport ships and with good RP even Corsairs would fear you and avoid.

Get a Rogue GB or a Outcast GS with a pirate ID and go around the siruis pirating everbody or
get a Spatial with FReelancer id and go hunt pirates or do bountys.

See the above answer? If you want RP do not do that. I like the concept of the chatty freelancer. Researcher is always good.

Well, like everyone else said, you could try being a Researcher. Or just buy a big ship and instead of fighting with it simply role-play your presence and steer clear of the combat.
