Admin Controlled Bank?

Ill start off by validating this point so nobody has the need for the compulsive post about it

now that that is out of the way we can get down to business.

I saw this in a flood post and thought it was a great idea.
I think, with help, the Admins should have a bank set up that will allow people to take loans out in RP style. The bank could be assisted mainly by the moderators on the forums to run the bank on the forums and then pm a server admin to deposit the money into the players account.
This would ensure payback on every loan and if for some reason a person defaulted on the loan the contract could clearly state what the consequences are. If it was just a late payment im sure there are tons of bounty hunters that would gladly hunt the players down and if the person just dumped the money into another account or character the admins could hand out sanctions for it.

Anyway lets talk about it and see if we can help the admins implement a plan to do it and execute it. There is also a poll so we can get a clear idea of who thinks its a good idea, and if it has a place in RP.

But yeah, some kinda banking system with ingame consequences for not re-paying the load would be cool, and in RP.

For some reason, refusing to repay a loan and /namechanging is not against the server rules, but not paying up on a ship is. Lol?

Can't see it working in RP.
I mean, no one can take your ship from you without blowing you to pieces, which is just like a bounty.

Admins dealing with people's characters using their admin abilities would be the equivalent of them being the Gods of Sirius.
Not exactly inRP.

Admins aren't part of the RP as long as they are on their admin chars. At least usually. Did you ever notice they don't use // when explaining people why they just crushed their ship?

Maybe not necessarily a bank directly run by the admins...but something run by say...somebody, or a group of somebodies that the community decides would be responsible enough to handle it, with admin 'supervision', but not direct involvement. Something akin to the "World Bank" that we have in the real world could be setup and it could easily and logically be made into an inRP group with an inRP purpose.

I like this idea and voted yes on both.

I doubt it is possible to hand it to 'thrusted' players. Even the admins are accused of conspiracy, etc. Same would happen to the bankers.

We'd have to find somebody who would be willing to put their neck, or necks if it were a group, out on the line. Heck, I'd volunteer if nobody else did.
