So on a trip through Sigma-13 I landed on Helgoland Stations, and looked thorugh the commodities there, as I allways do to look for new traderoutes. Then I saw it. Neuclear Devices...
Hmmm... That sounds like something someone will pay alot of money for, and here. On helogland they cost 1.000 credits. So I looked it up on the wiki:

http://www.discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?...Nuclear_Devices

Under availability. Holy HELL! I can sell theese things for 15.000 in on Dabadoru station in delta, and they only take up two units of cargo space? Wauw. And that's a shot trip.
Lets see. If I make a Independent trader character, buy a borderworlds transport: 3600 cargo hold.
Then buy 1800 units of Neuclear devices for 1.8 mill,
That means I can fly to delta in about 20 mins, and sell them for 15.000 per nut... 26,8 mill profit! Yeah. Score!!!

So I do just that. I buy that vessel, 41 mill.... When I arrive in delta, they only sell for about 5.000

What the hell...?

EDIT: ^ This is me being a whiny jerk on a bad day...

I'd like to apologise that the Wiki isn't able to keep exactly up-to-date with every aspect of the mod. After all, the Wiki team are machines with no lives.

Might I suggest you use a program like Freelancer Companion?
Or perhaps you'd like to help the Wiki team out.

It's outdated, like many commodities. Just use FLCompanion for trade routes.

//EDIT: Ninja'd :/

Be aware also of the version denotation on each page related to Discovery mod information. You will see the version it is up-to-date with in the Category listing.

The page on Nuclear Devices is up-to-date with version 4.85.0 (Category: V4850), the latest version is 4.85.3 (Category: V4853).

In this particular scenario, Freelancer Companion and Datastorm won't help. Why ? Because commodity prices are controlled server side. Yes - this IS the REAL Admin conspiracy, although not the one people think exist. You see, the REAL Admin conspiracy is to keep the game interesting on the server and in keeping with the name of the mod : DISCOVERY.

So when marketdemands for a particular commodity are filled, commodity prices changes, new demands by consumers pop up somewhere else.. So go forth and Discover.

And you still made a profit, so why are you bitching?

Honestly.

Maybe if you'd lost twenty mill I could understand, but if it was such a short trip, what's the problem?

*sigh*

I have proposed to the other Wiki Editors a solution that will make the fact that outdated information is outdated more obvious to readers without adding considerable amounts of work.

Adopting it may take a little time, but we will start working on it. If we get more help, it'll go faster. This is not a complicated change, anyone who can respond to this post has the required proficiencies.

A&L... wouldn't Freelancer Companion show you the right prices (if they were modified using server-side magic) if you were connected to the Discovery GC Server and in-game?

That is basically the only time I ever use it, if I must...

But anyways..
