So? Is it possible to make new city scapes and is it a "Good" idea?

It is possible and it is a good idea. Ive seen it in other mods.

Maybe the developers could make new ones so cap ships and transports don't go trough buildings etc...

What mods to be exact?

And im thinking to add like to some planets heavily developed to have some "Spaceport" for larger ships/upgrades, loading on and off ships etc.

Yes possible.
Not high on priority list though.
Make them yourself if you wish, they would be a nice submission.

Both of which would be crushed under their own weight upon entering the atmosphere.

EDIT: What I mean is, that's what Heavy Lifters are for. Transports and Caps aren't designed to enter atmo.

I'd very much like some new city scape's. The others are to plain and boring.

Yeah Freeworlds, Crossfire mod has 1 or 2 I think aswell. Even if you just use components from other cityscapes (backgrounds, sky ect) it would look really good.

Question is, do we really need it at all? I'd much prefer if we can make a planetary system where we can fly rather than just change decoration that only the player sees for barely a few seconds before launching again.
