I haven't seen this posted yet. This is an idea that was brought up by a member of the LSF, Christian Deus/Internity I think.

Why not put neutral prison bases in each House so that when House police arrest someone, that criminal can actually dock at the base rather than a'splode or F1 nearby? It's a simple enough concept. Could this be feasibly implemented in the next release?

I agree, having criminals actually dock at a neutral prison base would improve things quite a bit. Though, you couldn't put any lawful weps or ships on these prisons.

Yeah but come on, when does an unlawful ever actually say "yes ok I give up I'll go to prison"?
It never happens, or atleast I've never seen it happen.

So no need for neutral prisons in my opinion.

i like the idea tho, and the pirates can get interest of this aswel. maybe they will be more eager to "surrender" if they wanna actualy RP. ofcourse not every pirate will, but some real Roleplayers would. and others could follow.

Why you cant understand simple thing:
When criminal ship is down pilot ejects and he is looted by good guys. Then they take him to prison. Thats all about inRP prison. Stop making new ideas about it.

Most usually they don't do that because there's no way to actually go to prison.

My primary concern is the use of such stations to dock and resupply. However, as docking is fleeing, and they would be docking on the -prison- ...
If a separate docking point just for criminals turning themselves in went to a base with no ammo or b/b and such, it might be doable. I'm still wary of it, but if basing out of them was treated like basing out of New Haven, it could work. Maybe.

It's a neat thought, at least.

I do like the idea. An even if he could reload and refuel... the 4 hour rule would still apply.

0.0 could also come into effect here. Also, according to the rules he/she can go through the system to find an exit.

If this could be managed without pirates using the base as a staging point, I'm all for it. It's quite difficult to pull through Vierlande arrests with the base shooting at the captive.

Lawfuls "sending a person to prison" will not, and will never work.

It's a pointless effort that goes nowhere.
