Admiral Willow, after some discussion, has concluded that people are overly curious about his flagship; hence, after a heated discussion with the Don's secretary (who was subsequently executed for refusing an Admiral an audience) the historians have been granted permission to publish this:

-47 Present Sirius Date
New Bretonian Battleship H.M.S. Fantasia commissioned by King James the XXI and commanded by Captain James Halsey III; launched April 20th. Fourteen Guns, Heavy Armor. Shakedown cruise proceeded out of Southampton and into Cambridge, then back into New London, then Manchester, then Leeds, then Newcastle. After said it proceeded up into the Taus to control increasing pirate activity.
-44 Present Sirius Date
Called back to Cambridge to interdict the infamous Corsair Dreadnought C.N.S. Catarina, sent to intercept and destroy the Ark Royal, carrying the King to a summit in New Berlin. Between the Ark Royal and Fantasia the large battleship was moderately damaged and fled to Omega-5; the Fantasia pursued, using the asteroid density to her advantage, and the Catarina was disabled permanently as the main reactor was destroyed, blowing off the final quarter of the craft and irradiating the crew in such a way that the hardiest lasted four seconds.
{***}Footnotes: The Catarina was used as the primary base during the beginning of the Corsair/Hessian war, until the Hessians, being th industrious folks they were, brought in fourteen cruisers and annexed the base, after which she was (very slowly) hauled to Corsica for study; the Corsairs had introduced some novel ideas in her construction, some of which are still classified today. The hull remains at Corsica, disused because of its origin, but in full working order once more.{***}

King James XXI dies in an assassination courtesy of a rogue Kusari Admiral; his daughter, Carina I, immediately assumes the throne and orders Fantasia, now the temporary flagship while Ark Royal remained at Southampton for heavy refit, to proceed into Tau with a massive strike force and destroy the rogue Admiral Takashi Nagisa's loose fleet; an operation which is a complete success, during which Outcast Special Forces managed to interject and actually hijack two Kusari Destroyers, now christened Perihelion and Aphelion. Peri is in the employ of Hellfire, currently defending the NovaPG stronghold at Mito; Aphelion remains on the Corsica Defense Squadron.
-37 Present Sirius Date
Catastrophic engine failure occurred 49 kilometers south of New London occurred at 1320 hours. The reactor backfired a three megaton burst directly into the ship's power grid. The backfire caused the power system to disintegrate and blow out large portions of the craft, including all the weaponry, sensors, engine, life support, and essentially all the vital systems. It was deemed impractical to repair her, and hence she was left for space dust.

A BAF reconniassance force tracks a Gaian strikeforce back to the Fantasia wreck; they were using the craft as a convenient base of ops. They were promptly exterminated.

In an interesting deal with the Queen the Outcasts are asked to assassinate some high-up Corsairs stationed in Omega-49, who's squadrons had been giving Graves pure hell. Seeking payment, Admiral Jacen Davarian asked for the Fantasia's wreck as payment instead of hard credits. As the Outcasts have almost no metallic natural resources, the possibility of acquiring a battleship hull, however difficult repairs might be, was too tempting a prospect for the Outcasts to resist. Said were eliminated, and during a convenient sensor blackout, the Fantasia disappeared into legend. The wreckage field can still be seen 49 klicks south of New London.

Fantasia arrives at Corsica; repair immediately commences with a complete rewiring of the ship, after which gun points are installed. Filing in the destroyed bulkheads was next; it racked up an impressive 75 Million in materials, but it was still cheaper than a new Dreadnought. After that, shields and a special prototype engine were outfitted. Weaponry was specified as a mixture of Nomad test weapons and Heavy Shieldbuster cannons. Two months later the repaired battleship left dock, launched by the Don himself as the M.N.S Fantasia. She left under command of Outcast Special Forces Commodore Mia Bonello, as the flagship of William "Willow" Bonello. Her shakedown cruise involved an excursion into Gamma and the destruction of two Osiris battleships. The Don was quite pleased with his investment.

Fantasia travels to Omega-49 to reconnoiter the Kallisti operation on Omega-49, and destroy it if it is deigned a true threat to Cardamine sales. During the failed attempt to infiltrate the late Ambassador Fiona deLuna's villa, Uli Rouge, Fantasia's sole Mononucleodispersodisruptive Torpedo (A weapon which causes molecules to lose their bonds) was accidentally set off by Darkstar's minions, and almost destroyed the planet. This was countermanded by the accompanied detonation of a small AQS Bomb, essentially a miniature black hole, which absorbed the MNDD field seconds before it enveloped Willow. During th incident Fantasia was infiltrated by an entity called Crystal Oni, another of Darkstar's affiliates, which took the liberty of completely locking her computer systems and stopping an incoming Outcast fleet, which had been ordered to maintain position in the eastern ice cloud. The damage was repaired shortly after Darkstar departed and the Ska Feshir, positioned in orbit at the time, leveled the Rouge with its primary weapon.

Fantasia plays several key roles at the Battle of Terminus, and suffers severe damage, along with the Foundation Destroyer Arkady Darrell and all of the Foundation's current five battleships, Asimov, Hober Mallow, Stor Gendibal, Preem Palvar, and Salvor Hardin. Other details are currently classified, except that all the above craft have been refitted to optimal capacity.

I've been talking to a very nice young lady from Republican regarding some increased pirate raid activity in the Omegas, and what they'd like to do about it. This involves buying one of our battleships, being much, much cheaper than a full-sized Rheinland Battleship, and plenty more versatile at that. They're willing to pay 370 million, plenty more than the dry fee, so they get all bells and whistles. How soon can you get it done?
