AW recruitment thread

Because having the recruitment requests sent by PM is a mess, as there tends to be some confusion, I am creating this thread for those who are willing to join the AW.

So, if you want to join the AW, post your request here. One of the members of the high command will take care of your request as time allows.

All AW members who want to recruit people have to point them towards this thread, so the formal request is made.
Making a RP thread explaining why the character is joining would be cool too, but it's not absolutely required (although it speaks well of the aspirant, by showing his desire to be involved on good RP).




These are the fundamental values of the Asgard code of conduct:

- [color=#FFFFFF]Be polite, and respectful of others.
- Don't F1 out of a battle, no matter what.
- Do no shield-run / Shield-thrust away to regenerate your shields. Dodge instead.
- If we are about to die in a PvP, we don't run away to suicide at a star / planet to protect our frag stats. We face death like warriors. After all, its just a game, not like you are going to be really killed.
- We do not take things personal. After all, its just a game.
- Try to stay in character. The less OOC, the better.
- We will assist those allies who request our help.
- We do not take orders that would make us violate server rules. If you get ordered to, for example, kill a lvl4 player (who isn't grouped with someone above lvl30 or hasn't attacked you[r group] first), from your superior, you do not have to do it, as it would force you to violate a server rule.
- Our NPC reps will be aligned to fit our RP status. For example, we are hostile to the phantoms, so we are red with their NPC. We are allied to the HF, so our rep with the lane hackers has to be green, and red with their enemies.
- We don't equip to win (read, use any weapon disregarding our RP). We use weps that can be obtained from our faction or allies. Codies are allowed tough, as are some lootable weapons.
- Server rules come first. We don't violate them. Just because I am an Admin does not means that the AW gets preferential treatment. Those who violate the rules will be in deep sh*t, no matter who they are.


[font=Verdana]Also, to join, you need to agree with the following:

- Respect server rules (Looking for a loophole around rules is also not tolerated).
- Respect the AW rules and the code of conduct.
- Have a good Role Play. PvP "whores", cheaters, OOC and the likes are not tolerated in here. There are other servers for that. This is an RP faction on an RP server. Things like 'Wanna PvP?' and the likes are not tolerated.
- Have fun in game while not spoiling others' fun.
- Take responsibility for your actions. Everything you do while wearing the AW tag affects the faction reputation. If you did something wrong, face it. Lying or trying to hide it will get you on really deep sh*t. After all, a true warrior FACES the consequences of her/his actions, no matter if they are good or bad.
- DO NOT use 'l33t sp33ch', nor 'cell phone' language. It's an ugly deformation of the language. Speak properly, using complete words, grammar and proper punctuation.

Take that lightly and you will be out faster than an Cardamine-deprived Outcast running for a cardie-filled transport.

Oh, and as a foot note i might add that all the aspirants are investigated for criminal record (having violated server rules and the like) and general behavior before being accepted. creating a different user name to hide all that would be pointless.

well i can not give u any persinal stuff cause i am not allowed but i have been playing the game for 2 years but discovery for 8 months i am in the PM (sadly:() and they have merged with another clan. i ahve always wanted to join the AW i have always admired you for your exerlent fighting skills. one of my m8s is in ur clan but he wont tell me wat his name is. but he told me that the clan was realy good. i have fourght u 1nce in battle i will admit that but we can blame the brotherhood for that. at the moment i am an outcast. well that all:yahoo:

i want to know some more specifics before joining. like what ships are allowed and is there any promotion needed for big ones? i often use "r for are" or "u for you" because i find it difficult sometimes to write while steering the ship will it really be a big problem?

Currently, we allow Zoner, Outcasts and Civilian ships in general. There are other ships too, but require a strong RP background, and authorization from the High command and the faction they belong to, so those ships are quite rare.

When you join, you are only allowed to use Fighters and Bombers. That is while you are on probation (usually two weeks). After that, the ships you can get depend on your rank, skill and behavior on the server. Battleships are granted by the high command. Still, you won't see many AW battleships as we tend to use smaller ships instead, to get the agility advantage. I think we have like 3 battleships... from 40 AW ships. Most are fighters and some bombers. There are many gunboats and some cruisers too.

Using abbreviations while in combat is ok. After all, you can't stop the fight in order to write properly. Certain amount of "cell" chat is allowed while not in combat, but within reasonable limits. Don't freak out about it, we aren't that purist.

not supposed to post in character here, cause i m unlikely to join a faction - but you get the raven claw at bornhold depot in omega - 15. junkers base ( thats quite south/east of the map )
( and in case you messed them up - the ravens talon is purchased in evola shipyard in omicron - 100 .. order guard system )
