The Disciples of Cain

Proposal for a new Cannibal Faction - An Exiled group

The Disciples of Cain

-DoC

[Image: Cain45.png]
Introduction:

With cannibalism reoccurring, an old ancient religion reappeared through the dark veil of space. It was called The Mark of Cain. It quickly spread through hopeless crazies like a plague. It promised eternal life and a chance to rule by Cain side when he returned from the demonic underworld to enslave all life. The followers of this new religion only had one thing to do to please Cain, and that was to kill.

In return for eternal life, Cain would demand sacrifices to be made in his name. Victims would be brutally murdered and drained of all blood in a ritual sacrifice to Cain. The Extremists of this new cult were called The Disciples of Cain. In Cains name they would consume human flesh and commit horrible atrocities. They had believed that consuming the flesh of their victims was a direct offering to Cain. Many that had already practiced cannibalism quickly flocked to this new cult.

Cains Disciples quickly became known. To much of the galaxy these extremists were already known as, Bone Carvers. It had been said that this new religion came upon a mysterious Bone Carvers ship known as the Red Demon. It was said that this pilot had ventured to the depths of underworld himself, and was blessed by Cain to spread his word. His story had amassed a crazed following

Many of the Bone Carvers were said to have been driven insane by there consumption of human flesh. Many had been insane to start with, but those that werent quickly lost what little sanity they had left through what was known as the Kuru Virus. The virus, often known as the gift of Cain, warped the minds of the new Disciples. The Kuru Virus had originated from planet Sol. It had traveled on the sleeper ships along with billions of other people, and it lied dormant for several generations after. It was only after the people of Crete began resulting to cannibalism for their lack of food had it reappeared. The virus was in every man, woman, and child. It was in the meat

Their God known as Cain is said to be a demonic being that rules the underworld. It is said that he is god of murder, blood, and cannibalism. For strict loyalty to Cain, it is said that he will grant them eternal life, and power.

And so the Bone Carvers would raid colonies along the outer world planets. They would swoop in from planet to planet raid small villages and killing anything that ran. Often they would leave severed heads in the wake, as an offering to Cain. The Bone Carvers lived by a code, eat what you kill and they killed everything. If for some reason they keep you alive it is either to torture you some more, or to convert you. If they cannot convert you to Cains cause and cannibalism, they would skin you alive and leave you hanging by the freshly burnt colony to suffer and slowly bake in the sun. As their religion and following grew the Bone Carvers began to be known as the Disciples of Cain.

They assemble there ships from anything that they could salvage from the burning colonies. They often would assemble bits and pieces from the Red Demon onto there ships, bearing the mark of Cain into raiding missions.

Time Line:

2100-2200 A.S. - The Alliance-Coalition War, The Mark of Cain emerges as an underground cult. Its purpose is not yet understood. The Cult quickly spreads with alarming popularity through Africa because of famine and food shortages.

2200 A.D/0 A.S. - Eight sleeper ships launch from one of Jupiter's moons, leaving Sol to its fate, The Mark of Cain is long forgotten to time

20-50 A.S. - A Coalition saboteur on the Hispania completely destroys the Hispania's engines, waking the colonists. Half of them decide to use the escape pods to finish the journey to Sirius. They left the Hispania, landed on Planet Crete, and became the Corsairs. The Corsairs lack food, and have few resources. Some result to cannibalism.

312 A.S. The Corsairs make a move exile all cannibalistic tribes. They quickly isolate themselves from the others. Those that dont are destroyed. They migrate to the opposite side of the planet and are long forgotten.

752 A.S. The Corsairs have taken over 90% of the planet, in order to escape complete destruction the tribes unite to leave the planet. Only one remains on the planet. They raid a nearby ship hanger, and leave the planet in several freighters. They set course for the stars, but with no experience they have no clue in which direction to head. So they drift

754 A.S. The tribes have run out of food. They result to cannibalism. What had become a ritual now has become their means of survival once again.

756 A.S. 60% of the population has been eaten off. Another 20% of the surviving group has been infected with a deadly Kuru virus. Those that survive have immunity to the virus or suffer side effects.

757 A.S. The tribe comes across a small colony. They send out small vessels to raid the colony. The colonists are taken and kept as live cattle for the group. The tribe also makes upgrades to their main vessel combining parts from the other freighters to make a small colony ship. They take several fighter class vessels and take again to space. They are not large enough to take on any resistance.

784 A.S. The tribes continue their raiding, but without strong leadership there numbers are slowly dwindling. Babies begin to be born with strange defects in their teeth. They are longer, and sharper; they are born with all canines. It is a birth defect from the Kuru virus and inbreeding. The new generation has immunity to the virus but suffers from psychological issues and lack pigmentation in their skin. They are very violent and have a tribal social system. This new race is called the Bone Carvers.

785 A.S. The tribes within the colony ship turn against each other from poor leadership. The massive ship becomes a war ground, and Darwinism takes effect. A young boy is born upon the ship he is ejected off towards planet Crete by his father. The young boy is discovered and raised by a village shaman, he is kept in secret for fear of what they might do to him when someone sees his deformities.

800 A.S. The boy now 18 suffers from psychological issues like his forefathers. He escapes the planet.

805 A.S. Strange readings are recorded from sector 24 in a distant omicron system. Reports are that a large wormhole opened and sucked a single ship in and then vanished.

809 A.S. survival of the fittest aboard the ship has killed off all the weak, as the ship continues to drift into the void.

810 A.S. The tribes comes across a strange ship, the designs are like nothing they have seen. The pilot presents himself as the Chosen, he is a strange man that bears the traits of the tribes and he brings what he calls, The Mark of Cain. He assumes command of the tribes, and all traces of them vanish.

817 A.S. A mysterious ship appears along the outer world systems, it is strange, and its fighters bear strange markings. They call themselves the Disciples of Cain and raid outer world colonies killing everyone and leaving bodies half eaten and severed heads on pikes with symbols carved into their foreheads.

The Decree's of Cain

Eat what you kill
Natural selection has crushed the weak, and strengthened the strongest. We shall shelter no weak within the ranks of the Bone Carvers; the Disciples shall burn out any that slip through.

Through murder comes power, through cannibalism comes satisfaction, through the teachings of Cain comes eternal life

Affiliation, Aims, Ambitions:

The Disciples are independently affiliated. They have no ties to any factions. They are a group of raiding cannibals that lead a race known as the Bone Carvers and a religious cult known as The Mark of Cain. They pillage outer colonies for food and resources. Through their consumption of human flesh they believe that putting that meat through their mouth is like a direct portal to Cain as an offering. While they avoid the major house systems, they tend to pick off colonies along their borders. Anyone that they convert to their cause is brought to the infamous Red Demon ship, were their leader teaches them their ways, and it has been said that there are many mysteries aboard the Red Demon. It is a ship that has traveled from Cains underworld and holds many dark things within it.

ID: Pirate
Affiliation: Freelancer

General information
:
Ranking System:
The Bone Carvers have a class system based on their old tribal ways, which has blended with their new religion. Their ranks are not listed on their ship plates rather it is a system within the cult.

Cains Chosen: The leader of the group. It is said that Cain had chosen him and he ventured into the underworld were he was blessed by Cain to spread his word, upon reentering this dimension he was changed, and his ship had changed to, it had been blessed as a direct vessel of Cain.

The Disciples of Cain: The extremists of The Mark of Cain. Their minds have been ravaged by the Kuru Virus. They are now fully fledged cannibals and servants of Cain.
(Invite)
Voice of Cain: Often referred to as demonic priests, they spread the word of Cain throughout their following. They are the ones responsible for preparing the meat of the victims for eating, and making sacrifices to Cain.
(Voices of Cain must have extensive RP, as well as invite)

Off-Rank (Not part of the Clan)
Sleeper Cells: It has often been accused that once in awhile, the Disciples will take a survivor of a raided colony and places them within other colonies as sleeper cells. They are falsely promised riches and to be spared in return for information on the colony.

(Are chances for community RP, not part of the organization. The Disciples will take a survivor from a raid or a follower of Cain and place them within other colonies to gather intelligence for when they raid.)

Roster and Recruiting:
(While they may spread their religion to a mass of crazies, the Disciples (a race of Bone Carvers are strict invite only)

~~~~~~
OOC description of activities:
Activities from day to day would consist of raiding for slaves, crew, pilots, or organs. This would be like pirating but ABSOLUTELY no money would be demanded instead only the above mentioned would be demanded. (If they happened to not have any of the above mentioned or refused to hand them over, the results would be either death, or a demand of goods. The Disciples have no use for money they strictly deal in bartering with goods to sustain their raiding groups)
The Disciples may only land on Freeports or Freelancer bases. Docking rights must be bartered for or agreed upon RP basis. The systems in which the Disciples operate in are all of the following:
[Image: discoverymap.jpg]
(Estimation)
Operations within all of the border world systems, and raids within the outer colonies of major houses, which is focused in Bretonia, Kusari, and Rheinland. Visits directly into a house system will be VERY rare, and only result when food has become very scarce.
Goals are to provide a quality cannibal RP experience, not just to the general population but to the often over looked systems that can lie outside of the house systems as well. There is great depth that can go into our history. Also, as mentioned above the Disciples of Cain, are head leaders of a new emerging cult/religion. This new cult supports demonic worshiping, and is popular among the crazies and murders. They believe murder and cannibalism is a direct route to Cain, who will grant them eternal life, and power.
The Bone Carvers refer to the race of the Disciples. They are inbreeds, whose very DNA has mutated to match their eating habits. They have long protruding teeth, all canines, and lack pigmentation in their skin. They are almost entirely blind due to the long exposure on board the dark freighters. The Disciples are are Carvers ship operators.
Corsairs stay away from Crete because it's impossible to live there, compared to...even Gran Canaria. Sorry if I misunderstood you, though.
Also think about adding Spa & Cruise and Cryer as hostile - they haul organs / passengers on daily basis.
Maybe move Nomads to unfriendly - you're not intrested in them. They haven't flesh and aren't intrested in one.;)
"The Disciples may only land on Freeport’s or Freelancer bases. Docking rights must be bartered for or agreed upon RP basis. The systems in which the Disciples operate in are all of the following:"
I think this might be too/quite troublesome for you. I think even the famously inclusive Zoners would have a hard time accepting a bunch of cannibalistic Die-Hards onto their stations if things went "bump in the night". One incident of a station feeding, or anything even remotely resembling trouble for any zoner, and that would be it, you'd be blacklisted in all house, and zoner stations, and affiliates in less time than it takes to <strike>saw</strike> say "Pour me a Bloody Mary Vodka, Dick! Shaken, not stirred."
You're setting a very high standard for yourself and your faction, one that I fear will not last long in this flesh-grinder called Discovery.
Wonderful moody little Cainites you have here. Ahh I wish I had time for joining a fraction. Hope you'll prosper until at least September.. :)
By the way if some trouble arise with the zonies -well not having anywhere to land is a fun challange. You seems like someone up for those. Bats and bots can be pirated too to repair hull, and it's fun to go for replacing some 'worn' equipment.
So, you include Omega-52 as a "general raiding area."
Good luck with that.
Thank you for the feedback, yes it could be difficult, but we plan to just that and use our freighters as mobile restocking stations.
I am not positive on what systems are guard so if that is what you are referring too, the map is a "Estimation" as said below, the raiding areas will be border systems around that general area.
If it is on a weird system it is not necessarily meant as a "Raiding Area" as much as a flight course to get to one.
Thanks again for the feedback
