Not to further any discussion, but I'll lay it bluntly;

Freelancer is NOT compatible with WideScreens. You will find a link saying it is, but what happens is some of the screen is cutoff. I just find a good res, and deal with the Wideness.

You also could find a way so that it doesnt stretch the display, but then you'll have an annoying black bar on each side...

signature goes here once its done!

I agree what Yuri says, and I add that this involves a change of a certain ini that could be classed as modding, so I don't recommend to follow any instruction on that link.

I have a 22 inch LCD monitor and it goes just fine...nothing is cut off at all.

Or is 22 inch not considered wide screen anymore? :crazy:

You have to include whether it's 4:3 (standard format), 16:9 (widescreen) or 16:10 (widescreen).

Ok so i changed the connection to my display from digital to an analog (component) so that my television can stretch the image. Minor loss in picture quality and it looks fine because the stretch feature on Samsungs creates a copy of every other line to reduce that stretch feel. Everyting looks wider but things don't speed up at the edges and slow down in the middle which is what stretching does on a lot of other displays.

EDIT: Gosh i miss selling televisions
