So, what is mumble?

Mumble is an open source, low-latency, high quality voice chat software primarily intended for use while gaming.
Best of all, it's free to host, and free to use, you don't need to have any licenses for hosting it, like Ventrilo and Teamspeak, where you need to have hosting license.

Mumble is a very high quality VOIP-Tool with awesome sound quality, build-in noise and echo reduction (Speex codec at its best) and ultra low latency. Also in lots of games there is a 3D positional audio feature, to see it in game just watch the PR video response. More games are added build for build.

> Comparison betwen mumble and other programs <

Mumble (client), same as mumble server (called: Murmur), can be used on both Windows and Linux.

Cannon said maybe (about hosting at His server), he told me to post on forums, to see what others will say, so here it is...
if this goes through, and it will be hosted, I could help someone ( who will set it up), to set up admin privileges and stuff like that.

Download Mumble

The Teamspeak server works fine to be honest.

Mumble is actually the best voice program out there when it comes to usage of bandwith, delay and sound quallity (of course, you'd have to configure it right). However, as it ain't as simple/primitive as ts2, for example, it ain't as popular since most noobs feel overwhelmed by the menus and the need to configure it propperly before starting to use it and go "ololol retarded ts2 > all".
I also heard that ts3 is definitely a worthy opponent of mumble. So if we already should have a ts3 server, don't. If we'd only have a ts2 server, do it.

I have no mic, so I just chose "Whatever", but if I had a mic, and wanted to voice chat, I would of picked yes... +1?

No experience with it, wouldn't know, but sadly none of the people I play with have mics so the point's moot.
