I have just posted this on another section of the forums in error,


I have never had any problem with my graphic display on any version of Freelancer ,But when I purchased a Zoner Juggernaut Freighter (Jinkusu) I found that the display went crazy, Problems are:

The ship bounces up and down or the tail swings wildly from side to side, when docking the ship whips around like it is a hooked fish, the only way to get a good screen is to go into to mouse-flight or change the aspect view (ctrl v) but then it is very hard to see any attackers, it is also hard to jump through gates with any ease at all,

Another problem and a bug that could be fixed in the next mod is the lack of thrusters, I followed the wiki and bought the Zoner Guard ID before purchasing the ship (Corinth for the ID) but when I neglected to transfer the ID when purchasing the ship I found that it is impossible to get back to Corinth with a BS and it stops at any obstruction, I have not tried it yet where there are any debris fields but I think once in one you are there forever,

Any suggestions or comments please.
Anyone else had the same problems.


PS I do not know why there are Capitol ship thrusters available in the game but only two ships (I know of) can actually be fitted with one of Cruiser class and above, if you are engaged in battle you cannot (by my experience so far) transverse any area where there are clusters of rock or debris which literally traps you in place,

and please no replies telling me that it is a problem because it is a battleship, I just traded an advanced train in for this ship and the train is a lot bigger !

The Bug that causes movement "wildly from side to side" is a well known one, it's commonly known as "Wiggling"

as for battleships not having thrusters. . .it's not a bug, they just don't have one.

I'm sorry to tell you that several of your problems are in fact "because it's a battleship" I can assure you the Zoner Juggernaut is much bigger than an advanced train.

Those problems are old and not easily fixed, I'm afraid, they're not going to go away. Also, no thrusters on Battleships, for balance reasons.

Also, the Advanced Train isn't nearly the size of the Zoner Juggernaut. I don't know where you got that from...

I can say that wiggling is easy enough to solve, simple strafe some side to side a bit while in autopilot and it should straighten out.
