allo allo, i love the arrow interceptor, its awesome.

however i dont quite understand why it has to be even half as big as it is, o_o

its like 2x bigger than the Sabre and Black Dragon VHF fighters, can it be scaled down? o_o

I could model another one but I wouldnt be able to do all that extra freelancery stuff to get it game ready, hardpointing and such.

its shield bubble is also strangly large as well, i noticed this when being hit by millions of npcs firing starbeams at me, the bolts were hitting the shield quite far away from the hull ._.


the interceptor only really needs its 2 guns, a CD mount if not 2x CD mounts (that'd be pro awesome, and would mean you dont have to waste a Train CD on a fighter) and a Countermeasure dropper.

thoughts?

Indeed, it is "slightly" oversized... same model but smaller would be awesome though.

It's already unhittable, so sizing down would not mean a thing. I like the idea thou..

It is so big,because it is all engine,and thruster's. That is why it handles so well.

Dont care much about the size but a higher quality model would be nice.

I flew one as a xeno for a while, and even with some of the more powerful faction 9's available for my loadout the ship cant really kill anything on it's own. The only solo kill I ever got was a lucky nuke mine on someone >.>

Personally I think the ship could use a third gun.

hmm.. well y'know, i love it anyway,:ylove:

but its really not a combat ship

sizing it down some and removing the mine dropper in place of a scond CD mount would make it a true interceptor, and good for holding people in place for reinforcements to arrive, a 3rd gun would overpower it a bit I think :$

however when you look at the model the cockpit isnt that big, i mean its a fraction too big, but mostly its just the rest of the ship, i'd love to remodel it, but theres no point if it cant be used anyway.

1x class 7-8 LF shield
2x class 9 weps
2x CD mount
1x CM
1x Thruster

Oi you, get away from my mine dropper! :P

It's the size it is because that's what happens when you take one massive, and very phallic engine, and build a ship around it. It's near-perfect the way it is, the disadvantages of it's size, armour and weapon mounts are more than made up for by its shape, it's unrivalled agility and it's power-core.

or perhaps a MR/torp

but then again, MR on that ship is pure overkill, maybe.... i used one, the agility has a bi-effect, its helluva hard to use sniping gear....

There's no way a small fighter like that which is composed mostly of its engine can spare anymore power to weaponry. I don't think a second CD slot would be that useful since a single one does the job nicely already.
