So, i was flying my Gunboat in Burgundy, and then by somme magic all my Shield+hull poped out and i died, the message was indicating i got killed by a player, but once checked in player list, this player appeared to be in Tau 37 system, which is a bit far to fly in less than 30secs.
So before i report this person, i would like to know if it's a known issue or evident cheating from him.

Something weird happened to me as well. My shield kept dropping, the powerplant dropped everytime it reached about one third and started charging again and my hull took some damage few times out of nowhere.
That often happens.
I think it's caused of caps player dieing.
When you made a kill shot on a cap and don't fire at it while it's exploding the kill often goes to a random player in Sirius thats shooting an other player. (From my experience that is).
And about the random shield drops etc.
Couldn't it just a base or cap patrol shooting you out of visual range.?
Caps NPC patrols both in missions and on patrols can fire at you from 3.2 K away. But they don't show on the screen or on the scanner, untill they are 2.4k or less away from you.
It is supposedly an oversight during 4.85 development, but should be fixed in 4.86, so if they can see and shoot at you, you can see and shoot at them.. Or dodge.
Untill 4.86 - Never fly in a straight line, if you are near opponent factions patrol paths, and they have NPC cap patrols.
The actual killing of your ship ... probably an npc cap patrol that was outside of your visual range. You were in Gallia, which means it's easily possible for the battleships to shoot you from 3K away - and if you're not careful, they'll kill you - and you'll never see them shooting at you.
As for the death message - that's a known bug that happens. People can get the death message on someone from all the way across Sirius. Don't worry about that one.
