Are we allowed to attack anyone without a warning outside the NY system, or do we have to ask them first? I just attacked someone a while ago, and he just left. =/

Unequal PvP when you attack in groups or attack far weaker ships is not allowed. So... well, if you attack Stiletto in an Eagle it's most likely equal, but if there's a freighter/transport, you'd better not to. We haven't got enough people here to lose them because someone is too agressive and they are unable to earn money.

I got a simple strategy regarding PvP. I run. Or if I can't run, log out.

Then again I am flying a freighter, and as long I'm only trading and flying around in a freighter I will never fight anybody, even if attacked.
I don't know if other traders have it the same way, though.

Perhaps we could extend the 'No PvP' zone to be all House systems, and leave the Border Worlds open to combat. That'd make ambushing more fun :D

That sucks. Either New York or all of Liberty space should be a no PvP zone, nothing beyond that please. >:|

edit: Or if you want, you can make the major house systems like New Tokyo, New York, New Berlin and New London no PvP zones. That would make a hell of a lot more sense.

Ok, can you tell me how to make this universe peaceful enough for traders and in the same time allow PvP?

The idea I like most is to allow PvP everywhere except NY but only equal PvP, this means 1 fighter vs 1 fighter, or more (equal groups), and attacking freighters that cost, say, less than 2 million credits not allowed at all. Flying a 6 million transport or a 15 million train (will be available in the next version) - your own risk, you may be attacked by anyone.

There is a certain amount of risk to trade; I don't really see that much difference between pirates attacking freighters and players doing the same thing. Although conceivably someone could save up all their money and buy a battleship just to blockade Bering or whatever, I can't imagine anyone wasting the time.

I've never seen anyone do PvP without consent, but I doubt that they'd mind taking it out to the borderworlds if they wanted to be pirates, or just annoying :P

If we limit the attacks to the borderworlds, players will see that there is indeed danger outside the colonies. There's plenty of trading opportunities within each; me, Thrash, and Denier-of-Soup found an excellent one in the Hokkaido and New Tokyo systems, which would be safe under my option.

Ok, this is a little of topic so please don't hurt me , but what is the traderoute you mentioned PotatoSamurai?
I'm always looking for some new great traderoutes, and I really like trading up in Kusari, since most of the pirates up there don't mind me. :P

Buy Lux goods from Roppongi station in New Tokyo and sell at Ainu depot in Hokkaido. Then buy Cardamine from Ainu and sell at Roppongi.

And us pirates wouldn't get any unaware victims at all... great. Catching people unaware is half the fun in PvP. Even though I call myself a pirate, I would never pick on a neutral trader unless they somehow managed to piss me off.

Introduce a minimum level requirement for PvP. People under that level cannot attack or be attacked.
