There are three groups of players: Trains (maybe only one), Escorts, and Pirates.
Train is trying to get Gold from Dublin to Manhattan. Escorts protect the train. Pirates try to destroy the train and its cargo.
Train starts in Dublin. Pirates and escorts start in New London.
Everyone can respawn freely, but stopping on other bases is not allowed. So you always start where you first started. When train succeeds to carry gold to Manhattan, game is over.
Everyone gets 500.000 for participating. Pirates who kill train get 1.500.000; train pilot gets 2.000.000 if he/she makes it to Manhattan in 4 attemts or less.
Escorts are not allowed to attack train and vice versa. Escorts cannot attack other escort members. Pirates can attack everyone, including each other.
Status
Might become a regular event if it's interesting enough. With different starting systems, and different cargo onboard.

Sounds great. Might be difficult for the pirates though. Can the train take any route or just the quickest?
It would make things easier if the pirates were actually proper pirate characters, and escorts proper Navy characters, rather than a load of neutrals, but my pirate characters can't dock at New London!
Role-played characters:
daedalus - Liberty Navy
bandersnatch - Ruthless criminal possessed by a (huge) alien
Shredder - Small-time Kusari pirate, looking to join the Blood Dragons
"Bounty Hunters. We don't need that scum." - Admiral Piett
Go to the Molly's base in Dublin. Or, the Junkers base in New London. There's almost always a base you can dock on...
Notice the "almost."
Oh yeah, and I think the rules are just fine too.

I think it sounds good. And I believe their should eb a limit to the types of ships people can use. Escorts and pirates can have nothing larger then a VHF. That was it remains a challange. Otherwise sounds good. Whoever is in the transport (s) should decide the path escorts just have to follow and guard.
Only VHFs eh? I think I might be switching sides here...
Yeah, I'm retracting the Pirate role and turining it in for a Transporter. Kane's going to be hauling some Gold, it looks like.
