as for stolen idea, its made by the people who created dota, so...
Revolving hero system != 50 heroes to choose from.
Even if it were 50, it's still half the number available in Dota or HoN, and the graphics are still disgusting compared to even lesser-known games like Demigod.
Hah.. talking about graphic. I am pretty sure this game needs less good PC then Warcraft 3 and TFT.. But still graphic as far as I can remember looks better..
Its clear Its same idea brought to new level with overall level, fights tracking.. all fancy things. Summoner spells.. runes.. masteries. System is much much much more better then Dota.
They are about to release new version.. with even more improved system with ranked tables, better interface..
And Balanar you can't compare champions/heros unless you play with them..
So.. I see lots of bad comments. I am pretty sure you looked few pictures maybe video and you made your point.
I recommend you to play game.. try it. Play few champions.. then say something.
I am not sure what right number of champions here.. I know its less then half in Dota and you can't play with any of them you want at the beginning.. You will need some time to find your favorite champion and you can buy it then with points you get for playing games (winning more.. losing less)
I played few games and I found out I like ranged champions with spells and all. So now I am using Veigar. I like little thing.
To tell you more about game for those who are interested, you start with Summoner level 1 and you have summoner spells ( 2 of them you choose to use in game ) and max level is 30.
In game your champion (around 50 different ones and more developed) start at level 1 and max is 18, each champion has its own abilities and functions.
Edit: Q, W, E are your normal spells, R is ultimate and D and F are summoner spells, B is teleport to base and little small picture( thing left of the spells ) is your champion passive ability (each champ has different one)
You have runes, masteries that help you personalize your play style.. tank, dps, support or some mix of those.
You can add friends and talk with them with in game chat and out of it. You have arranged team games where you can play with your friends.
This is my best score so far and best game I ever played, had great team. Here comes the picture.. Fight was almost over. I am not in picture I am walking towards there from down.. you can see middle of map.
Ok, on freelancer I might have few years of expirience (only 2), but I have been in to the dota for nearly 7 years now. Started it in third grade. And I guess some enlightment is needed over your little heads right now.
First, dota is better than this. To those who are just curious, don't try it, it's not worth it..though others might state differently.
Second, DoTA is the oldschool concept which still rocks today. HoN is a brilliant innovation that represents a new-gen DoTA copy. It certainly is worth playing. If I have to compare hon and dota, I should say that they are equal in terms of pros and cons. Hon's major disadvantage right now is that it requires monthly payment in order to play...dota does not.
Third, yes I played LoL.
Fourth, connection to third: I was really disappointed when I saw the eye-picking sign on the reg page "BY THE CREATORS OF DOTA". Now, every single person, who had at least a month of expirience with dota, knows that it was made by one single person- Ice Frog. And no, he does not have a team, he does it all by himself. He only asks freinds to test the new version before it is released or to make the art picture for the cover of the map. Everything else is his own work. Final summation- the creators of LoL suck at lying. Also, trying to lance your creation under the names of other great developers is really lame.
If anyone has more questions about this
P.S.: The acronym of League of Legends is "LoL", that doesn't seem quite surprising actually.
