Cheetah Thruster usage

Hello. I noticed the Cheetah Thruster is available on the Barier Gate dock. Can I purchase it even if I am not affiliated with the Outcasts from this dock or is it still an Outcast only item despite it's being sold there?

Though in the meantime I have learned that you don't need anything better than what the heavy thruster offers since you can bridge the reload-time by sliding in e-kill.

it offers little advantage - but it does offer an advantage over the enhanced or other thrusters. - but this tiny improvement comes at a very high price. - since repair costs are measured by percent from the original price ... even a little radiation damage or a slight blast damage will cost you a lot to repair the ship. - of course you can always stardive - but whats the point in that in a RP enviroment.

Repair cost of Cheetah Thruster - Unlike what Many Believe, and what many say - Is not really That High. I've had 6 Cheetahs on 6 Different Chars, 2 of which pass through Omega-41 on a regular Basis... And when I say, I've never noticed much difference between repairs costs of my Regular Ships and the ones equipped with Cheetah, I'm not exaggerating. Also, it Does give one a considerable Advantage. Even though it might not make much difference in a normal Joust-Fight, but it'll simply save your arse if you'll need to flee one day (The simple 5% lower drain it has compared to Enhanced Thruster, adds a few klicks to the distance you can thrust, before running out of afterbrun)
The only time that I had a high enough repair bill to actually consider it, was when I had to solo a Double-Missiled Gunboat on my Cheetah Roc, and after the fight I had to pay 1.5mils to repair the Snac and Cheetah... And still, even That is not a really high digit to worry about.

Also;

We've already said that the Cheetah Thruster is available to everyone. Good luck, if you can afford to repair it when the radiation damages it...

I'll be using it in Liberty so radiation won't be much of an issue I hope.

OF course you can. Now even corsairs can get their hands on it. It's avalible for everyone since freelancers and in rp Freelancer merchants can get their hands on it.

It should be outcast only. But since the dev team decided to just chuck it on barrier gate, it's now open for everyone, as per the rules...

I personally think it must be Outcast Only as well... Maybe Remove it from Barrier in .86 and problem will be solved?:P
