Virgo Series EPDO 1.0

Introducing the latest addition to the Virgo defense series, the Emergency Personal Defense Orb is setting a new standard for personal security. The EPDO employs simplicity, advanced ident recognition and DC power to produce a 1500 capacity molecular based shield.

Designed to be convenient enough to fit into your pocket, the EPDO only requires a single button to operate it. It assigns itself to a single user at a time, indentifying the user through their finger or handprints that come into contact with the device. This avoids any unintended pulses fired from the device by unwanted users.

With the touch of a button the device sends out a pulse, forcing a wave of air within a two meter radius. Immediatley following is a high powered molecular sphere. This sphere can be adjusted to extend from a 2'-6' radius and repels any sized biomass' and inanimate objects smaller than the user. The orb sends a harmless electrical current through the user and any material or object in direct contact with the him/her; producing a simple and reliable friend foe system that protects the user and their immediate possessions from the harmful aspects of the system.



Each discharge requires a DC cartidge. These disposable cartridges store enough power to run the sphere at full power for approximately five minutes. Photon and Neutron capsules that deliver the same specification are available for purchase instead of the standard Molecular should you require.

AE-54c Enforcement Baton 1.7



The Ariel Enforcement Baton has been a favourite of policing forces throughout sirius for years. And now two of the four authorities equip them among their criminal response arsenals. This next improvement on the Enforcement Baton is revolutionising the function of the device entirely. As standard the baton comes with a rechargable and output adjustable 1,000,000V contact charge, a 700,000V electrode projector and a naptha-phospherous grip for enhanced control.

Simply put, with a moment of physical contact the maximised current is enough to paralyze the victim momentarily. Or with prolonged exposure can cause the victim to lose consciousness and potentially internal organ damage (Warning instructions are provided). The electrode projector modification allows the user to fire a highly charged piece of metal; similar to a battery; towards the victim. When the electrode comes into contact with the victim it will administer a 700,000V shock for a period of approximately three seconds that can be remotely re-triggered up to three times per charge.

That covers the standards of the recent Baton model.

Now the AE-54c is meshing together two vital pieces of law enforcing equipment. Using the miniature advantages of nano particles, we've managed to construct a second device within the baton that alters the entire baton's function when unfolded.

Introducing the Enforcement Baton 1.7. By simply unfolding and pulling the eventual hand grip and shoulder rest of the unfolding baton, the device transforms into a semi automatic suppressive rifle. This modification is designed specifically for situations that consist mainly of ranged targets. Like it's predecessor and in it's original form, the rifle fires 700kV electrodes over distances of 300 yards. The modification also fires molecular pulses within angles of 70°, forcing away any persons or small objects within three meters. Additionally the gun can be altered to fire bean bags, bead slugs or gel cells should the user require.

The baton has been designed to fit into almost any baton holster and it's light weight components allow for fast and effective use.

AE-63 AP-Pack 1.5

The aim of the latest edition of the Ariel Aero-Pulsion pack was to compact the size and weight distribution of it's predecessors. The new 1.5 modification has done just that and a few extra little gizmos have been added here and there to make the upgrade worthwhile. The primary thruster on the latest modification has been compacted down to a more convenient size, and the low lead content of the miniature nuclear reactor has improved the weight, control and potential altitude. No need to fret, the loss of lead insulation won't expose you to any harmful radiation. A lighter Polonium based compound now contributes to 80% of the reactor containment allowing maximum protection and light weight efficiency.

The large stabilisers of the original model that were adapted to the 1.2 version have been re-engineered. The starboard and portside stabilisers are now retractable into the main component of the pack, allowing for convenient transportation when not in use.

Following the controvercy of the original 1.0 model, the pack has now been fitted with an autopilot function that will override any attempts to approach any mobile terrestrial or airbourne vehichles planetside. Ariel Enterprises claims no responsibility to any issues regaurding unlawful acts commited involving the use of the Ariel Enterprises - 63 Aero-Pulsion Pack 1.5.

Additional features include "parkour mode" that allows the user to freely run and leap past obstacles that without the pack may prove problematic. Using state of the art holographic scanning, the pack knows when each muscle group in the users body is preparing for a particular action, and so will act to improve the outcome of the action with propulsion. The stabilisers have been programmed themselves to regulate the speed, distance and height of the boosts produced so that the user isn't overwhealmed by the output. The same holographics system computes the immediate environment, calculating the required power needed to overcome the obstacles challenged by the user.

Wrist navigation has all the same features as the 1.2 model but has a redesigned theme and casing to match the packs appearance.



However with the new model the computer comes with an enviroment wireframe adapter, allowing you to see the detail of your environment from two centemeters to three miles. Useful for those cross country flights in mountainous regions.

Additional "Go To", "Flight/Landing Sequence Programming" and "Multi-Pak" features come as standard.

The 1.0 and 1.2 versions of the P-Pack cannot be submitted for modification as the 1.5 model is a complete reconstruction of it's predecessors.

Phoenix

The Phoenix is a trial and error disaster recalled and rejected countless times throughout Ariel Enterprises' production history. In 792 A.S. a group of Rheinland scientists grouped together and developed a design for a tachyon-photon particle meld using a series of nuclear reactors to generate theoretical dark matter. A series of five prototypes for the mounted ordinance weapon were produced and tested resulting in the deaths of 17 people at Ariel's first manufacturing plant on Holstein. In honour of their memory their names are accredited below.

The first two prototypes were underpowered and did not deliver the desired effect of the project and were destroyed. The third was believed to be built with corrupt materials from unverified sources and was ordered destroyed by the authorities before it could be tested. The fourth protoype is believed to be stolen or missing and an attempt to replicate it resulted in the fifth version that caused an explosion killing 7 Ariel personnel and 10 civilians.

The project to create a mounted weapon of this sort was abandoned in 802 and left for two years. The tachyon-photon theory has been reinvestigated a number of times under regulation resulting in a number of failed projects ranging from domesticated products to energy generation.

The background of 'tachyon-photon' technology and it's affiliation with Ariel Enterprises has been decreed to be made publicly visible to any persons viewing any technological success resulting from this research by law of the Rheinland Federal Government. By order of the Rheinland Bundesgerichte court, the item in question is under no circumstances to be sold to any persons. This catalogue entry is court ordered purely as an exhibition and a tribute to those who's lives were lost in it's development.

The Phoenix is a unique device that was developed to push the limits of power available at one's disposal. What started as an experiment to downscale heavy weaponry suited for cruiser class vessels to be used on single handed crafts resulted in an extension on that principle altogether. The state of the art tachyon-photon technology allows one to weild the power of a Cruiser Mortar in one's hand. The theory of downscaling the size of the output projector; using nano-particles; down to a quarter of it's original size would effect the output pulse at 5.7% of it's original amount. At this point, 94.3% of the original output power of a Cruiser Class mortar is ably shrunk into a weapon suitable to be mounted on most small spacecraft. Downscale to a 16th and you have yourself something small enough to be hand held that can deliver approximately 77.2% of the power of a Cruiser Class mortar.

In our trials we found that such firepower on such a small scale would disintigrate the user by sheer kinetic backfire. However, we've employed a technical anomoly found in most spacecraft shields. When a shield's capacity is hit, the shield will fail but no harm will befall the proteted material unless a latter pulse should impact before the recovery time. We've applied our own Virgo class DC shielding power to protect you from the blast, seperating the airspace between you and the contact point of the Phoenix glove (see below) so that you remain stationary and unharmed during the discharge.





The pulse produced will disintegrate almost anything within a one mile distance at a circumferance of over 22 feet approximately. The Phoenix was originally developed mainly for purposes regaurding military reconnaisance. Where an orbital strike would prove too innaccurate at hitting a structural target. Other similar military uses were suggested such as sabotage but the only two completed models will now remain on exhibit at AE headquarters on Planet Holstein.

Sh14 'Legerity' Enhancement Course



Here we have most recent development from the Ariel trial sapienhancement project. The aim of this project was to develop a drug that would both accelerate and enhance the mental and physical performance of the user. This being an overall improvement in agility, strength, speed, stamina, motivation and potentially intelligence. Years of research and development finally resulted in a three week program of administration, trials and physiotherapy that would produce a subject of extraordinary ability.

In this pioneering project into an unfamiliar field by Ariel, the search for a suitable compound started at the very basics. We first looked into different compounds of Steroids, Xanthines and Eugeroics which produced little breakthroughs worthy of progress. Then we turned our eye to Nootropic compounds; combining and infusing different formulas to produce each particular desirable effect, then narrowing our search to specific groups responsible before cracking and forcing them to react with the primary compound. Think of it like taking pieces of a number of puzzles and somehow fitting them together to create a new one, each piece bringing it's own trait.



The compound we've dubbed 'Legerity' stimulates most desirable human physical, nervous and psychological traits. Test subjects who have undertaken treatment have witnessed an approximate 219% increase in brain function and nerve impulse efficiency, 159% improvement in neurone impulse intensity and 175% increase in hard muscle biomass across the anatomy. The three week program involves an intense course of physiotherapy as well as arithmetic, logic and psychological trials accompanied by daily drug administration. Optional courses of how to utilise the improved traits in alternative methods can also be provided alongside the primary course should you wish.

Warning

The effects of this program require daily injections of Legerity following the course to maintain the program's effects. Effects of the course will revert to normal after 3 days of missed injections. Reinitialisation shots cannot be issued to participants for self-administration should the dose be interrupted for legal reasons. Participants in said scenario must attend 7-14 days of reinitialisation physiotherapy and administration to bring the effects back to fruition.

Reinitialisation is not an option to participants who are more than 14 days overdue Legerity shots.

AE-71 Erebus Confinement System 1.4/AE-74



The AE-71 Erebus Confinement system is a hightened security incarceration system specifically designed to be fitted to Enterprise class retrofitted Prison Liners. The system offers the safety and assurance of a maximum security prison hullside while improving the simplicity and accessability of the interface.

The original Erebus blueprints were drawn up as a trial project alternative to the decomissioning of the Prison Ship ZE-32 "Wolfbusch". The idea was to revive the vessel as one of the most secure in the fleet as opposed to enduring the cost of disposal. The vessel was stationed at Altona throughout the process, a number of ideas were thrown around, however the secondary objective was to keep the project under budget.

What resulted was the Erebus Confinement System. From any given point and with the right access, once can open or close any door on the vessel at any given time. The system itself has a multiple failsafe system that understands chain of command through biometric readings and voice recognition. A recent breakthrough in nanotechnology allows for any member of personnel with any given level of authority to access the system at any location. Each member of authoritative personnel carries a small pod which can be fitted to the person conveniently as a belt attatchment. This pod when activated, either by voice command on gesture, will release a cloud of microscopic airbourne nanobots that virtually and collectivley form a holographic interace before the user (as seen above). This gives each member of personnel a closer cooperation of the system than any other in existance today. Cell block seal measures have also be imroved to provide a more solid and secure environment to ensure inmates remain where they should be.



The system itself was designed to be foundered on top of the generic SS4-Safegaurd loadout so doesn't require a completely new fitting procedure to install it. The software itself automatically integrates itself with the datachip provided and the verification key to active the integration process. However this can only be completed after each cell has been upgraded and calibrated to the new system requirements.

Ariel has also built in another of it's projects to give the vessel and edge.

Introducing the Tartarus class solitary confinement vault.



Tartarus was originally designed as a measure to contain a nuclear meltdowns in capital ship reactors, but was proven not cost effective. However minus the layers of Iridium and Lead content the vault still has the containment capabilities of lesser dangers. The Tartarus serves as a maximum security detention block for high value prisoners during transfer or permanent incarceration. The vault itself consists of three feet of steel and titanium alloy in all four walls and a single solid titanium hatch door. The Tartarus aboard the Wolfbusch is now believed to be one of the most secure locations in Sirius.

AE-87 'Genie' Ocular Augment



The 87th project to emerge from Ariel R&D aims to take the world we see and enhance it with the Genie ocular augmentation. Genie began as an attempt to introduce an alternative to holographics; which have for centuries been the only electronic interface consumers in the domestic, professional and military environment have had access to. The resulting system is unrivalled by any other in terms of practicality and efficiency.



Genie itself is an operating platform incorporated into specialised contact lenses that are applied to the iris' like any other. The eye piece itself is a product of state of the art nanotechnology and multi-layer subcoding to squeeze all of what you see here into the single micrometer thick memory chip. The lens actively alters focus to bring the 3 dimensional nano-pixel display into the view spectrum, producing images of the popular windowed operating system, for example (as seen initially above).



The system itself is controlled solely through ocular movements and conscious cognitive messages from the brain which are detected through the iris on the biosensor module. The lens carries the base functions of the genie operating system, offering windowed, HUD, tabbed and cognitive styles of operation at the will of the user. Additional data is exchanged between the eyepieces and the GOAM mainframe at AE which can be accessed from anywhere in Sirius within range of a standard Hermes comms relay. This includes the use of the capture feature of the system which allows one to record images, videos and sounds which are immediately broadcasted to GOAM and relayed to your personal computer to be saved and accessed at any time of your choosing through genie or otherwise.

Additional patches and modules may be added to the eyepiece on request, dependent on each individual's requirements:

AE-87-M6 Persona Module

Genie's Persona module when activated discretely records images of the faces of people you encounter and stores the information wherever you so desire. The prime feature of this module is the popular HUD mode which has the capacity to automatically scan up to 20 faces and cross reference simultaneously in under 1.3 seconds; allowing you to keep track of who you have or have not encountered before. Images that are encoded are saved with annotations of key features & information, time stamps and location information which enhances the face recognition function as a whole. The heads up display allows one to pursue and summon this information into view on any target of their choosing.

AE-87-M4 Targeting Module

This module offers fighter pilots and stationary weapons operators an edge on the battlefield. The programming of this module has three consecutive settings which are activated automatically:

Acquisition - Recognition of the pursuit of a target and the acquisition of a lock on said target
Home - Visual indicators show how best to approach the target while avoiding hostile fire
Check - Visual indicators show how best to eliminate target and opportune firing moments

The smart software recognises when the user is targeting a stationary or moving object and can be overridden by the user at any time if switching targets.

Note: The AE-87-M4 module is not compatible with capital ship armament operators
