Hey folks, I know, I'm sorry its a question topic and its regarding The Zoners, I'm sorry.
Now onwards to the topic at hand.
Do you see every Zoner in the game as part of The Zoners faction? I mean, every Zoner has their reasons for being one, and are full of many varieties, as in trader, fighter, station manager, explorer and so on. Not only that, they're so scattered, how can they be one faction? The Bounty Hunters have one purpose, money. The Zoners, their purpose in my eyes is to survive by their own rules. By that basis, does that make every station a semi or if not an independent station?
I can see each station or Freeport trading information and technologies with each other to survive, but what if one went to war as Jinx brought up? Would they all go to war? Are they all unified?
This is a tricky one in my eyes with arguments for many ways.
It would be better if there was one zoner "faction" per freeport, instead of making the zoners that trade with Outcasts on FP10 affiliated with the zoners that trade with Corsairs on FP9 the "same people".
Make a Federation of Free Ports if you will, but every freeport should fend for itself and should should keep its own best interest a priority, or its not a "Free Port".
Depends...If a Zoner does wrong and the rest of the Zoners denounce him and distance themselves from him only to all rally together when one Zoner is wronged it leaves most of us puzzled as to where the Zoners are currently at at this junction. Are they fractured and decentralized or consolidated and united?
No. The term "Zoner" is only used to describe a loosely affilitated group of individuals who, under certain circumstances, occasionally unite for a cause. The exceptions to this is, of course, official Zoner factions which consist of permanently allied groups of people used to be free roaming Zoners.
Technically, people in official Zoner factions shouldn't be called Zoners but they have to have some sort of faction identity.
People who treat Zoners as a faction like any other are obviously ignorant.
I like the idea of a federation or even a Zoner lifestyle, its just the way the game is, a Zoner is put in as the group. No real identity within the Zoners unless you're in a separate sub-faction.
My zoner chars are... Zoners... independent of any zoner council or whatever. I take orders from myself and I do what I wnat coz I am a <strike>pirate</strike> zoner.

Doesn't that make you an independent player or even Freelancer compared to being a loose affiliated Zoner?

The idea of the new ZA charter was that each official faction was to get a station and govern the actions of that stations and their dealings. The purpose of the ZA was that these organizations would come together at a table and discuss matters that affected them all, while still maintaining individual sovereignty.

Which has not been done. Instead, you'll see some of every faction at any given FP acting as one big mega powerhouse.
