So it's not a bug..I think.. because of where the bumblebee's forward engines are located, when you fly in cockpit view, the engine's distort the view of space, and the added load on the graphics cards slows down the game. Is there anyway to move the engines back behind the cockpit so this doesnt happen?

The cockpit view is out of the center of the whole model. Means cockpit coordinates are x0,y0,z0. All parts forward of the center have an negative z axis value. If the engines have maybe x20, y-5, z-40 you will see the exhaust gas effect in cockpit view on the right side below. This is what Zelot means.

Solutions are to change the model by moving the engins from front to back or move the whole model along the z axis backward til the engines have an z0 value or a positiv z axis value.

same like the train... you see the engines in the front - while its a bit strange at first, you get used to it - on the train i haven t really seen them anymore after some time ( yay for the eyes being smart enough to simply turn blind on stuff if you don t want to see them )

it much more pronounced then with the train. And it there not only while in cruise, it is there when you afterburn or sometimes, just in regular flight mode.

Well in the Large Train the cruise engines do not appear to charge up for the player that is flying the ship and if I am not mistaken this is so when in first person they wont get in your way.

I asked if it was a bug ages ago as others see them charge but the pilot does not but that is the reply I got.

Maby the same thing could be done with the Bumblebee?

I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus

i tried to fly bumblebee and i didn't see anything...but that was in beta 3....i still need to make some time to test this further...also relocating HPpilot mount maybe more to the front could resolve this issue...

Have me written my explanation for nothing, haven't me?

Zelot is meaning the engine exhaust gas trail effect.

In a 3d program you have x, y, z axis. The root of those are 0, 0, 0 values. Later in game the cockpit view is set on this root, indifferent how the model is postioned along those axes. So this was wrong in my post before.
For example:
If the whole model is set 100 above the z-axis in a 3d program, in-game your cockpit view will be far under the ship.
It has nothing to do with HpPilot. This hardpoint is just to put a generic pilot model into the cockpit. Don't know why Igiss want this Hp for capships without a cockpit.
It depends how the ship is positioned in the 3d program.

Edit: Afaik this happens with exhaust gas trail effects and contrail effects only.
