General overview: The Ronin were a GMG wing that were active a year ago. The background story is that they resigned from the KNF and moved out to the Sigma systems. After a while on GMG, the Nomad attack on Freeport 11 occured, and they moved to the Order to assist defense of Freeport 11 and repairs.
What they were doing for that year, and why they were in the ZDF until this week:
When the first faint Council transmissions first reached Toledo, the Ronin knew imiediattly that this contact would be of immense significance. Absconding from military organizations was nothing new to them, and the Order seemed in good enough hands, so the Kaichou bombers started the long journey from Omicron Minor to Orkney.
At Reunion station, what they learned about Gallia alarmed them extremely. A deep reconnaisance was required. After putting their Kaichous in deep storage and some heavy cosmetic changes, they embedded themselves in several Gallic organizations, including the Brigands, GMS, even the Gallic Royal Police. Over the next year, they accumulated a huge database about the Gallic factions and border worlds.
Then, one of their number was found out.
Gourry Gabriev, the member of the Ronin in the GRP, was exposed, imprisoned, and tortured. A Ronin raid to rescue him during a prisoner transfer to the Gallic Core worlds failed, and the Ronin were forced into what they thought was a dead-end system, Lorraine. As luck would have it, however, a newly Corvo cruiser was exploring the route through the Omicron-80 minefield, captained by an old friend of the Ronin, one Peter Kristall.
Mellliar (a.k.a Tzu Chao) and the former Ronin integrated the ZDF an they were issued the defense of FP 11.For a while things worked out smoothly, however, internal disagreements over discipline matters regarding rogue members exploring forbidden territory caused Captain Melliar to resign from his post. Now the former Ronin changed the call sign of their vessels to :
Warden+
and with that resumed their call of serving humanity against dark plots, and domination schemes.
The Warden will still be a part of Zoners, however they have their own focus and agenda. Warden are more concerned with the activities of Slomon K'Hara and the infected know as Wild, kusarian or otherwise, then anything else.
They will work closely with the various Order groups to stop this menace and will establish communication channels with every House agency that is willing to cooperate in the struggle against the blue treat as well as keeping a close relationship with their friends in GMG which might have relevant data on the Oni.
Gallia is another major concern as it is considered a global menace. The Warden will monitor and keep close tabs in all gallian activities that they can have access with particular emphasis in any moves that will lead to the launching of ofensive forces against any House or group within Sirius sector.
