when i play FL in fullscreen, everything is fine..... but when i play windowed ( like i do about 99% of the time ) i cannot "hold" my crosshair into one direction and press another key. ( duhhh... was that clear enough to describe the problem?)

ok, example:

i am flying/dodging around - and i press tab to trigger the thruster. once i hit thrust, the crosshair resets to the center - and my ship flies a neat straight line, practicly saying "shoot me!" - happens with strafing, too - and all the other stuff - basicly whenever i hit an additional key on the keyboard. i can of course move the mouse again, but especially in case of the thruster - it resets me to the center every now and then ( rather randomly ).

i guess its a windows setting - any of you ever had a similar problem - or knows if there is a way to get rid of it?

Yes, go to the shortcut you use to open freelancer. Right click, properties, under Shortcut Tab in Target add " -window" to the end and don't forget the space.

If that doesn't work, use "-w" instead. I've used that and it works...don't like windowed myself, personally.:P

I have that problem every time i move the mouse out of the window. Its freaking annoying.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

Windows track certain keys(Tab,alt, ctrl) because of task switching.

I prefer Full Screen less distractions from Windows

Thats probably what it is. Jinx, try mapping your thruster to something that isn't a Window's buzz key.

Finally something i need... since the global server isnt working anymore... i cant play in windowed mode..
Cant wait to get home and add the -window/-w in my shortcuts...

The auto-centre of the crosshair is something new to me... never noticed it... i only know that it auto-sets itself after an cetrain amount of idle time of the mouse.
