Quote:Effective Immediately, we are initiating a good neighbor policy. Our bases are welcome ports to those who seek to trade, refuel and restock. They are not welcome ports for those who seek to use them as springboards for military action or to seek refuge from aborted attempts of the same.
Groups or individuals who think to employ the Nine as a staging ground for military action against our neighbors, on any side of the fence, will find that the comforts and opportunities afforded here will be denied to them.
Signed,
the Seniors
Freeport 9
Hear ye, hear ye. Freeport 9 is welcome to all for trade, beer, and anyone looking for a love hotel. Launching from our beloved wreck of a station will no longer be tolerated. If you bring a battleship to our doorstep, we better see it leave in the direction it came from.
If we see Outcast ships land on our Freeport and head toward Gamma, we will deny you access.
If we see Corsair ships land on the Nine and head toward Eta, we will deny you access.
If we see your ship land on the station with a resurrected clone of Miley Cyrus, we will deny you access.
Zoners welcome folk from all walk of life, but we don't want you bringing your troubles with you. Our ways will be protected. We may be small but so are Gaian man eating killer ladybugs.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next "What happens when you or a part of you is eaten by a Nomad" seminar.
The policy was passed over two weeks ago. We planned to announce it then and there but were caught up with the Core shooting our hinneys. Also, we are Zoner, so it usually takes us ten times longer than the rest of the galaxy to do anything.
Happy Whale hunting, but be careful not to over do it.
The extinction of the giant sperm whale on the Earth that was, caused the eruption of the Alliance/Coalition war in 2160 AD.
Also, you weren't kidding when you said you were black Sails. No matter. The Freeport is open to all.
Dear Emilio Ferucci, I see what you mean. Let me rephrase myself. If a Corsair battlecraft is sighted attacking folks in Outcast-land after landing on the Nine, certain docking rights will be remitted. Every time someone uses the Nine as a base of operations, a masturbating kitten dies. Also a lot of Zoners.
Sure, the rule is overlooked when ships use the Nine to attack those killing Zoners. When somebody's busy killing us, we do appreciate the help.
However, we'd prefer if people didn't kill us to begin with and rather had free movie nights and drinking contests. Also, may we remind folks that our unique ability to provide goods rarely seen in the Omicrons comes from the fact that we allow anyone and everyone to dock. This is once again why it's so important that folks don't use the Nine as a base of operations. It means we have to cross factions from our list, which sucks big time.
Lastly, don't get us wrong. We love, and I mean, LOVE to get on our knees and beg for mercy. When we're out in the middle of nowhere. When we're 5 feet away from our Guard System, though, we get cocky. Hence, violate the Good Neighbor Policy and we'll kick you out without shedding a tear.
Hm, its nice that it usually take zoners ten times longer as others, but you know... Corsairs are people that will wait ten time shorter that others...
